Seated outside his humble hut, Shukracharya stared blankly at the small desk in front of him, cluttered with scrolls. The quill in his hand hovered over the parchment, his thoughts drifting back to the curse he had placed on Amarsri.
As he wrote, his mind wandered back to that fateful moment when anger had consumed him and he had uttered the curse that should never have left his lips. His brow furrowed with regret as he replayed the moment of rage that had led to his hasty words. The gentle breeze rustled the leaves around him, carrying with it a sense of unease and sorrow. The chirping of birds seemed muted as he delved deeper into his memories, grappling with the weight of his actions.
"Niyati bhi kya nahi karwa sakti vyakti se...." He shook his head in disbelief at his own actions, knowing that it was not his true nature to be driven by such anger. Destiny had led him down a path he never intended to tread.
Despite the turmoil within him, Shukracharya took a deep breath and refocused his attention to his writings. Just then, a horde of fierce asuras descended upon the clearing, their presence announced by the thundering of their footsteps.
"Pranaam acharya !" They greeted the Asurguru with respect, their voices echoing through the tranquil surroundings.
Despite recognizing their familiar faces and receiving respectful greetings, Shukracharya remained stoic, his expression unreadable.
"Acharya, kya aapne Devi Amarsri se baat ki ?"
"Kya woh maan gayi Krishna ko rokne ko ?"
"Batayiye acharya, hum sab sunne hetu utsuk hai."
The asuras' inquiry sparked a flame of anger within him. It was their insidious machinations that had led him to utter the curse upon the goddess he held as dear as his mother.
Furrowing his brows, Shukracharya rose from his seat, his voice laced with a mix of disappointment and rage, "Murkho ! Tumhare karan mere jeebha se unke liye shraap nikal gaya !"
His words echoed with a chilling intensity, causing the asuras to shrink back in fear, realizing the gravity of their mistake. However Mayantak stood unfazed, his curiosity piqued by Shukracharya's outburst.
Ignoring the tension in the air, he raised a brow and calmly inquired, "Kaisa shraap acharya ?"
With a heavy heart and a deep sigh, Shukracharya recounted, "Swayam ko bhulne ka shraap..... Krodh mei maine yaha tak keh diya ki yadi woh Krishna ka mukh dekh lengi toh... toh unka avatar... bhasm ho jaayega."
As he spoke the words, a sense of sorrow washed over him, realizing the irreversible consequences of his actions. But Mayantak saw an opportunity in the chaos. A sly smirk played on his lips, his eyes glinting with mischief as he contemplated the potential benefits of the curse for the asuras.
Kambuk asked, "Tatparya ki woh Krishna ko nahi rokengi ?"
Shukracharya's fury reached its peak. He turned his gaze upon Kambuk, his words cutting like a sharp blade, "Dhurt ! Yadi iss samaye yaha se nahi gaya toh mai tujhe bhi shraap de dunga !"
With a final glare that could have frozen the sun itself, Shukracharya dismissed the asuras, his anger simmering beneath the surface like a volcano ready to erupt.
"Chalo sab, acharya ko tang na karo." Mayantak quickly intervened and led the group away, sensing that Shukracharya's anger was not to be trifled with.
As the group of disappointed asuras trudged through the forests, a sly grin played on Mayantak's face. Despite their failure, he seemed unfazed, his eyes gleamed with a hidden agenda, a plan brewing in his devious mind.
Observing Mayantak's expression, Arishtak couldn't help but notice the cunning glint in his comrade's eyes.
The son of Arishtasur, cautiously approached the brother of Vyomasur and asked, "Tumhara mukh dekh ke pata chal raha hai ki tumhare man mei kuch toh chal raha hai."
Mayantak's grin widened as he turned to face Arishtak, his gaze filled with a mix of determination and scheming intelligence. With a glint of mischief in his eyes, he whispered, "Krishna se pratishodh lenge."
"Pratishodh ? Krishna se ? Buddhi har gayi hai kya ?" Kambuk taunted.
"Puri baat suno, murkh." Mayantak said, "Yadi hum Amarsri ke avatar ka annt kar de toh ? Krishna ne humare Pitao aur Bhratao ka vadh kiya hai... Hum uski putri ka vadh kar pratishodh lenge."
"Woh Harihareshwari hai !" Arishtak said.
Mayantak smirked, "Acharya ne unhe swayam ko bhula dene ka shraap diya hai. Kaise bachayegi woh swayam ko jab daiviya shakti hi nahi unke paas ?"
"Aur Krishna ? Kya woh bachane nahi aayega apni putri ko ?" Arishtak asked.
Mayantak shook his head, "Shraap ke karan yadi woh Krishna ka mukh dekh bhi le tab woh bhasm ho jaayegi. Woh bhi nahi aa paayega bachane."
His words resonated with the discontented asuras surrounding them. Slowly, a wave of agreement rippled through the group as they too began to smirk, reigniting a spark of hope and determination within their troubled hearts.
"Arthat mrityu chaaro oor se uski pratiksha kar rahi hogi." Kambuk laughed.
