In trusted circles once so tight,
A shadow fell, obscuring light.
Laughter shared, and secrets too,
Now twisted in a cruel view.

Whispers turned to silent glares,
Friendship fractured, no one cares.
In their eyes, a truth laid bare,
A trust misplaced, too much to bear.

Promises made, now shattered glass,
Memories fade, as moments pass.
In their smiles, deceit took form,
A storm within a friendship's norm.

Once, companions by my side,
Now revealed, the lies they hide.
In the heart where warmth once grew,
A chill of knowing what is true.

Beneath the surface, masks unbound,
Betrayal's echo, a hollow sound.
The pain of trust turned to disdain,
A lesson learned in silent pain.

Yet in this hurt, I find my ground,
A strength within, a truth profound.
For in the end, I clearly see,
Their loss defines a stronger me.

No more shadows cloud my view,
In this betrayal, I renew.
With open eyes, I walk away,
From friends who led my heart astray.
Fake friends who knew.
