I knew Bells would not be doing any fighting, that was up to me. I just had to make an opening so she could make a run for it. She was a slow runner, if she went fast she ended up on her face. I, on the other hand, was a fairly fast sprinter. I was known to beat many of the boys who had challenged me to races. From what I could tell, these men were drunk and would not be moving anywhere fast. I tugged on Bella's hand to tell her to stop moving. The men began to converge on us, spreading out to make a circle. I hated feeling cornered, corralled. They better hope that I get a grip on myself soon, or otherwise they would not make it out looking good.

"Stay away from us." The shaky voice of Bella rang out. It was clear she was trying to be brave, but anyone could hear the tremble in her voice.

"Don't be like that sugar." One of the men slurred. The others joined in in a raucous laughter.

"She's serious. From what I can tell y'all are very drunk and are lucky to be standing up straight. I, on the other hand, am very clear minded and, even if I wasn't, I could take you blindfolded, and win." I threatened.

"I am sure you fight like a girl." one sneered nastily.

"Then you better start running, and pray you run faster than I do." I replied. Two of them leapt toward me. I let my body take over, not thinking, just doing. I kicked one man hard in the gut, while the other I punched hard in the face. They both groaned and fell to the ground, wimps. I heard a small whimper and realized that three more had begun to close in on my sister. I placed myself in front of her.

"Back off, I am warning you." I hissed. They simply laughed and came closer. I spun and kicked the one on my left in a very sensitive area, and shoved him. He went barreling into the one in the middle taking him out too. The one on the right however, now had his hands extended to grab my sister. With an angry screech I punched him in the nose just as headlights flew around the corner. I felt a both satisfying and sickening crack from where my fist landed. The man howled in pain and grabbed his nose that was now spewing blood. Bella ran toward the headlights and I followed. The passenger door flew open and a voice demanded,
"Get in." Bella was all too happy to comply. I however, upon hearing the voice and recognizing it took a step back. It was the voice of Edward Cullen.

"Myla get in." Bella's voice cried. I hesitated, gauging my chance against the men who were picking themselves up, or a vampire. With a scowl I chose the vampire. I guess I had to make sure he would not eat Bells. I opened the back seat door and climbed in. Bella was looking at Edward with the most trusting expression I had ever seen her wear around anyone other than family. That was not a good thing, especially considering the boy she thinks she trusts is a freaking vampire. Edward, however, looked murderous. He glared at the men I had beaten up as though he was debating what the most painful way to kill them was. Before I could further study his depression, he threw the car in reverse and gunned it. I let out a shriek and clung to the seats as he tore through the town like a lunatic. He demanded that Bella distract him.

"Drive like a sane person!" I screamed at him. He ignored me, which I did not appreciate at all. They carried on a conversation, while I attempted to not lay down on the floor of the car in a panic attack. They were too entranced by each other that they did not notice me back here practically having a full blown panic attack at Edwards driving. I do not like cars, or Edward's driving, or Edward in general. Somehow we pulled up at the restaurant in one piece and without a ticket. I got dragged along with Bella and Edward instead of going home with Jessica and Angela. It was going to be a long awkward evening.
