Dr: Well, hello there. Your labs and scans are in. It seems like everything is healing very well. You should be able to go back to doing your normal routine.
Spence: That sounds great. *Her darkened eyes lock on mine*
Dr: If you do start feeling pain or discomfort, I want you to come back immediately.
Spence: Sounds good.
Dr: Any questions?
Spence: Nope. Thank you so much for your help.
We got into the car and my phone started ringing.
Me: Hello?
Bey: Hey Rih. Jay and I are at the Delta. Do you want to come?
Me: Well, I am with Spence.
Spence: What?
Me: Your parents want us to come to the Delta.
She goes stiff.
Spence: The big building.
Me: Yea Bey, I dont know about that.
Spence: Your favorite restaurant?
How does she remember that? She grabs my phone.
Spence: Hey ma. Yeah, we will be there in 15. Ok. Love you too. Bye.
Me: Babe. You hate crowded places. Lets just go home.
Spence: I will be alright. I promise.
Me: You sure.
Spence: Totally.
She is saying this, but her grip on my thigh says otherwise. I place my hand on hers to not only sooth her, but also to get her to stop. As bad as this is going to sound, it is turning me on. Wrong time Rob!
