Chapter 9- Settling in

I wake up to my alarm clock going off, I reach over and turn it off. I start kissing Angela's face to wake her up and she finally wakes up after five minutes, Morning beautiful, I say. Five more minutes, she says. You better be out of bed by the time I'm done getting dressed, I say while laughing. She nods her head and pulls to covers over her. I just laugh and start getting ready. After I'm done getting ready I wash my face and brush my teeth, then I go wake the kids up. Kids time to get up, I say as I open the curtains letting the sunlight beam through the room. They get up without any problems. I help them brush the teeth and wash their face. Okay Jack shorts or pants, I ask him. Shorts please. I get him a pair of black shorts and a white polo shirt for him to get dressed into. Eliza Maddie shorts, dress, or pants. Eliza says a dress and Maddie says shorts. I help all of them get dressed and I start to fix their breakfast. How about you guys go jump on my bed and wake Angela up, I say to them. Their faces light up as they run into the room jumping on the bed. I'm up okay stop jumping please, Angela yells while laughing. Kids breakfast, I yell. They come running into the kitchen, I help them up on the stools and they eat their breakfast. Ang get your ass up before I drag you out of that bed, I say leaning against the door way. Yes ma'ma, she says laughing. Hurry up we're gonna be late, I say waking out the room.

We drop Jack and Eliza off at daycare and when we get to Maddie's school me and Angela walk her in. I meet all her teachers and I fill out some forms. Before we stop at the station I stop at the bank to withdraw the cash for the house, great we're late, I say as we pull into the station. We shouldn't get in trouble we're detectives after all, Angela says as she kissing me. I return the kiss gratefully. Alright come on we gotta go now, I say as I place a finial kiss on her forehead. We get in the station and to our luck everyone was in roll call. We walk into roll call and everyone turns to look at us. Any reason your late detectives, Grey asks us. Well someone didn't wanna wake up, we had to drop two kids off at daycare, one off at elementary school, and I had to stop by the bank, I say. Hey don't complain about me it took almost two hours to get you up the other day, she says back defensively. You didn't complain when you finally got me up did you, I say in a whisper which a few officers heard and made Angela's face go red. (Grey, Zoe, Jackson, Nyla, and Tim heard) okayyy how about we change the subject, Nyla says. Yea I agree, Tim says while laughing. I start laughing as well, oh shut up, Angela says while looking at me with a smile. Make me, I say back with an even bigger smile. Okay we are separating you two before you do something we don't want to see, Nyla whispers to me and Angela. I agree god just knows what I wanna do to her right now, I whisper to Angela which Nyla heard. Angela's face turns more red, Lucy I did not want to know that, Nyla says while dragging me away and I just start laughing. What did she say, Jackson asks curiously. Trust me you don't wanna know, Nyla says. Can I continue roll call, Grey asks. Yes you may, I say with a smile. Grey finishes roll call and Zoe tells me and Angela to stay back. What's going on with you two, Zoe asks. What do you mean, Angela asks meanwhile I'm about to burst out laughing. Are you two dating is what I'm trying to ask, Zoe asks us. Me and Angela look at each other and she gives me a nod. Yea, I say with a smile. I'm happy for you guys, you two out of all people deserve it, but Lucy please watch what you say at work, Zoe says. Yes ma'ma, I say while laughing. Me and Angela head to our desks and start working on our cases.

Lunch time came around and I went to go meet up with Angela. Hey I won't be at lunch because I have to go pay the guy for the house you wanna come, I ask. Yea I haven't even see what it looks like, Angela says as we get in the car. Believe me it's amazing, I say with a smile. We pull up to the house and it looks even better in person.
