Chapter 8- Adjusting

Angela's POV
I woke up to Eliza tapping me. Hey sweetie what is it, I ask her. We're hungry and I couldn't wake mommy up because she's under you,Eliza says. I look down to see she's basically right Lucy's head is under my shirt and her arms are wrapped around me, I smile at the sight because she looks cute like that. I'm coming let me wake your mama up okay, I tell Eliza. She nods her head and leaves the room. I lift my shirt up to see her sleeping peacefully. Luce, I say while stoking her cheek. Hmm, she says while moving her head a little. I gotta make breakfast for the kids you're gonna have to move, I say calmly. She moves off me and I get up I expect her to get up to put she takes the whole blanket and wraps her body in it going back to sleep. I just laugh and start making breakfast. I make pancakes and eggs. I put three plates on the bar and call the kids down so they can eat. Where's Lucy, Maddie asks. I'm about to go and try to wake her up wish me luck, I say walking to the bedroom. Once I get into the room I see Lucy huddled up ball with the covers around her sleep. I snatch the bottom of the cover and throw it off the bed. Angela I wanna sleep, Lucy practically yells. No get up, I say. No, she says. I go over to her and get on top of her and start tickling her. She looks me right in the eyes and just laughs, I'm not ticklish, she says. I stop, that is so not fair, I wine. Before I know it Lucy has flipped me over and now she's on top of me. Oh how the tables have turned, she says while smiling.

Lucy's POV
I flip Angela so know I'm on top of her, oh how the tables have turned, I say while laughing. How in the hell di-, she says before I cut her off with my lips against hers. I kiss her soft but passionately. Before she has a chance to react I get off of her and head into the kitchen laughing. Morning kids did you sleep good, I ask them. Yea we did, they say. So Eliza we have to look for a new house, so do you wanna go to daycare or stay home with me and Maddie, I ask. Stay home please, she says. Alright but we have to get your hair done because it's looking a mess, I say while ruffing up her hair. LUCY CHEN BRING YOUR ASS BACK IN THIS BEDROOM, Angela yells. Mommy you're in trouble, Eliza says. .i just laugh while walking back into the bedroom.  Yes Angela, I say leaning in the door frame, with a smile. Shut the door, she says.  I do as she says so now I'm leaning on the door. She walks towards me, you don't get to just kiss me and walk out laughing, she says. Well I needed you to have a moment to process what I just did, I say with a smile on my face. But that's not fair, she says with her arms crossed. Then make it fair, I say with an even bigger smile. Before I know if her lips are crashing onto mind and we're in a heated make out session our tongues twisted together but it gets interrupted with a knock on the door. Mama,Eliza says. I have to take a second to catch my breath before responding yes sweetie, I say. Can you do my hair please, she says. Yea sweetie I'm coming, I say. We can talk later and you need to get ready for work, I whisper in Angela's ear. She just nods her head and I walk out the door. Come on sweetie let's do your hair and Maddie your next, I say. Okay, they both say. Jack you guys can go outside and play with Kojo if you want, I say to them. Next thing I know Jack and Maddie are running outside paying with kojo. Alright I'll see you guys after my shift bye, Angela says. Bye see you later, I say with a smile while she just rolls her eyes at me. How do you want your hair baby, I ask Eliza. Two braids please,she says. I as she asks and she heads outside to get Maddie. Alright Maddie how do you want your hair, I ask her. Can I get two braids and a bun at the bottom please, she asks. Sure sweetie, I say. While I'm doing her hair she asks me a question, are you and Angela dating. At first I'm taken aback by the question but I proceed to answer it, no sweetie why, I ask. You seem really happy around her, do you like her, she asks. Yea I do, I say with a smile. You guys will be really cute together, Maddie says. Thanks sweetie, I say while finishing off her hair. Alright your hair is done go play with the others while I clean up.

Angela's POV
Me and Lucy just made out, I think to myself. I get to the station and immediately pull Nyla into an integration room. Wow what happened, Nyla asks. Ok so Lucy kinda kissed me and then I got mad at her so I kissed her and then we were making out and then got interrupted by Eliza and I'm kinda freaking out, I say really fast. Hold up back up, you and Lucy made out, Nyla asks with a smile on her face. Mhm, I say. Was it good, Nyla asks with an even bigger grin on her face. God yes, I say back fast. Do you like, Nyla asks. Nyla for god sakes I think I'm in love with her, I practically shout. It felt so good to let that out, I say with a sigh of relief. Then tell her you love her, Nyla says. You're saying it like it's that easy, I say back frustrated. How do you think Jack will fill about it, Nyla asks curious. Jack loves her, I say with a smile. Then that's your sign go get your girl but for right know we have work to do so let's go, Nyla says dragging me out the room.

Lucy's POV
As I just get done washing the dishes I get a pain in my lower stomach. I bend over the counter in pain and I already know what it is. My period. Kids can you come inside so I can take a shower real quick please, I yell. Everything okay mama,Eliza asks. Yea sweetie I just need to take a shower, I say with a slight smile. Okay,Eliza says. Can we watch tv, Maddie asks. Sure sweetie let me put on. I walk over to the couch and put SpongeBob on and head into the bedroom to take a shower. I'm in the shower for about 30 minutes and it helps with the pain in my stomach.I just throw on a hoodie and some shorts and decide to braid my hair. It's going on 6 o clock so I just decide to order food for the kids. Kids what do you want from McDonald's I ask as I walk out the room. Happy meal, they all say. Nuggets or burger, I ask. Eliza and Jack, say nuggets and Maddie, says a burger. Alright I just ordered it, it should be here soon let's get showers out the way. I give all them a shower and sit them on the bar stool so they can eat their food and I tip the delivery man 10$. I help them brush their teeth and put them down in bed. I kiss each of their foreheads and tell them goodnight and I love them. After a long day I clean the house and plop down on the couch. I enrolled Maddie in school so she starts tomorrow. I grab a blanket, one of my pillows out of my room, my heating pad,and turn on true crime on the tv. After about an hour of watching true crime I get on my laptop and look at some houses. I found with a big yard, 4 bedrooms, 2 baths. I get the owners number and text him letting him know I would like to buy the house. He texts back almost immediately asking when I can pay and I say tomorrow. I'm looking at my bank statements and how much I can put down on the house when Angela walks in the door. Hey the kids sleep, she says while walking over to me. Yea I put them down about an hour and half ago, I say while lifting my head up so she can sit down. I put my head on her lap and she starts playing with my braids. What you doing, she asks me curious. Okay so I found a house it's 4 bedrooms and 2 baths, it's really nice and big, so now I'm trying to figure out how much to put for the down payment, I say while looking at my savings. Ok well how about you start with something small but not too small so you know you'll get the house, she says. That's a good idea, thanks you're the best, what about 5000$, I ask. Do you even have that much, Angela asking me shocked with how much I said. Yea I've been saving since I was 16 I have exactly 13,467$, I say. Damn Luce that's a lot, she says. Yea I know I've been saving since I was 16,I'll pay him tomorrow and start house shopping too, I say excited. Let me know if you need any help, Angela says while laughing. I start laughing, can we talk, I ask her a little nervous. Yea let's talk, she says. I like you, like a lot, you're an amazing person, you have a kind personality, let's not forget the fact that your beautiful and great with kids and I'm scared if we do this I'm gonna mess it up, I say putting my hand over my face. Angela takes my hand off my face and put it into her hand, I like you too Lucy, you're a wonderful person, kind and you're really cute when you're pissed off, and let's not forget that Jack loves you and you're one of the most beautiful people I have met, Angela says while looking me in the eyes. And if one of us messes up we'll keep on fixing it until we get it right okay, she says. I just nod my head and smile. So Lucy Chen will you be my girlfriend, Angela asks. Yes, Yes I will, I say back with a smile. She leans down and kisses my on my forehead, come on let's go to bed but I have to take a shower first, she says. Angela goes to take her shower while I clean my mess up in the living room. We both get into bed and cuddle as we drift off to sleep.
