Chapter 14- Sick Household

Lucy's POV
Mama, mama, I here someone say. I slowly open my eyes and turn around to see Jack crying. Hey buddy what's wrong, I ask. My stomach hurts, he says crying. Come on let's get you some medicine, I say as I get out of bed and pick him up. I sit him on the counter while I turn on the light and get him some medicine. After he takes his medicine I'm head to his room to lay him back down but he asks to sleep with me do we head back into mine and Angela's room. I lay him between me and Angela and he cuddled up into me and we head back to sleep.

I've been asleep for about 30 minutes when I feel someone tapping me. I turn around to see Eliza and Maddie. What's wrong, I say sleepy. Our stomachs hurt, Maddie says. I slide jack over a little bit and get up and take them into the kitchen. I put them on the counter top and give them some medicine. My bed or yours, I ask them. Yours, they say. Eliza gets Angela's side of the bed and Maddie gets on my side with me. I text grey letting him know the kids are sick too so I won't be in today. It was 3 o clock I just sighed hoping they would feel better when they woke up.

Angela's POV
I woke up with my head pounding. I get up to get some medicine but I hear someone say, mama don't move. I look down to see Eliza with her arms wrapped around me. At first I'm surprised she called me mama but I didn't mind. Sweetie I need to go take some medicine,I say. Take me with you, she says. I stand up and she wraps her legs around me as I'm heading to the kitchen I see Maddie and jack cuddled up with Lucy, why are all the kids in the bed, I think to myself. I take my medicine and turn the air down. I put something on the tv and grab a blanket and lay down on the couch with Eliza and we fell asleep.

Lucy's POV
I wake up to the sound of someone throwing up. I look in the bathroom to see jack. I move Maddie off of me and head into the bathroom with jack rubbing his back. Mama it hurts, he says crying. I know baby I know, I say rubbing his back. After he's finished throwing up I wipe his mouth and take him to brush his teeth. I walk out of the bed room with jack wrapped around me and see Angela and Eliza cuddled up on the couch together. I smile at the sight and head into the bathroom sink can help jack brush his teeth. You wanna try to eat something buddy, I say while we head into the kitchen. Can I have yogurt, he asks. Sure buddy, I say while rubbing his head.

Everyone woke up after a while and had breakfast and we were all cuddling up on the couch when my phone rang and it was Zoe.

Lucy- hello
Zoe- hey you sound tired
Lucy- I've been up all morning
Zoe- oof k remember them nights but do you think you could come in I wanna talk to you about something
Lucy- sure but I'll have to bring the kids and Angela they're sick and I'm not leaving them by their self
Zoe- that's fine with me I'll meet you at the front when you get here
Lucy- alright see you soon

I sigh as I put my phone down on the couch. So where are we going l, Angela asks since she heard my side of the conversation. Station the kids are staying in what they have on because I'm not changing them you can get dressed if you want I'll be back, I say as I move jack off of me. I throw on some joggers, a hoodie, crocs, and throw my hair in a messy bun. Angela puts on her pajamas pants and a hoodie with her crocs and we grab the kids and head out the door.

Mama up, jack says to me as we get out the car. I pick jack up and he wraps his body around me and Eliza does the same to Angela and I'm holding Maddie's hand. We walk into the station and like Zoe said she'll meet us at the front. You really do look exhausted, Zoe said. Now you're saying I look a mess, I say. Zoe laughs I did not, she says. You look rough, Isabel says to me. Oh fuck off, Angela says. Ang there's kids around watch your mouth, I say to her. Not my fault, she says. Can we go to the break room I need to sit down, I say to Zoe. She just nods her head and we head to the break room. Once we get into the break room me and Angela lay across the couch with jack and Eliza on us, I put Maddie on my lap and Zoe sits in one of the chairs in the break room. So what did you wanna talk about, I ask. Well first off I wanted to congratulate you on closing a tripe homicide in a day, not many people can do it so I'm very proud of you, Zoe says giving me a bright smile. Hold up you closed a tripe homicide in a day and didn't tell me, Angela asks me. Sorry you weren't feeling good and I didn't wanna tell you anything about work because I needed you to get better, I say. Well I'm so proud of you Luce good job, Angela says with a smile. Thanks guys, I say with a smile. Well someone wants to meet you, she says as someone walks through the door. You're telling me someone wants to meet me now instead of over the phone to where I could actually look presentable, I say laughing. No worries Ms.Chen, I hear someone say while laughing. I lean my head back and my eyes widen in surprise to see the Chief of the LAPD. You wanted to meet me, I say pointing at me in shock. I did indeed it's nice to finally meet you, I've heard many things, she says putting out her hand to shake mine. I shake her hand, good things I hope, I say. All god things no need to worry looks like you got your hands full, she says pointing at all the kids. Yea they're all sick, I say laughing. I hope they feel better, but I just wanted to give you this for all your hard work, she says handing me a challenge coin. Wow thank you so much, I say I'm surprise. Don't be you deserve it, I'm gonna get going now it was nice to meet you, she says walking out the door. You too, I say back. Good job baby you deserve it, Angela says rubbing my leg. Like I said I'm so proud of you, you deserve everything you have right now Luce. We talk a bit more and everyone congrats me on the challenge coin. We head home and cuddle back on the couch before drifting off back to sleep.
