CHAPTER 14

Meanwhile, Jungkook cut the call and threw his phone on the bed, feeling thoroughly annoyed.

"Gosh, today's kids!" he exclaimed, shaking his head. He had just arrived home and was in the process of unbuttoning his shirt, but stopped when his phone rang again.

He frowned, thinking it might be the same girl prank-calling him again, but was surprised to see Tae's name on the caller ID.

A wide smile spread across Jungkook's face, and he quickly answered the call, putting it on speaker. Tae's sweet, shy voice filled the room.

"Hi"

Jungkook's face lit up with a warm smile as he replied, "

Hey, baby. How are you?"

He relaxed into the couch, shedding his earlier annoyance, and removed his shirt, tossing it aside on the bed.

"Ham ache hai, Aap kaise hain?"

(I'm fine, what about you?)

Jungkook sat on the bed, took his phone, and turned off the speaker. His voice dropped to a sensual whisper as he replied,

"Jab meri Jaan hi mere pass nahi hai to ham kaise ho sakte hai..."

(How can I be when my life is far away from me...)

He knew Tae would be blushing furiously on the other end of the line, but he couldn't help himself. He missed her, and his words betrayed his longing. The way he called her "meri Jaan" (my life) sent shivers down Tae's spine, and she felt her heart flutter in response.

Jungkook waited patiently, but Tae didn't respond. He could sense her nervousness, her hesitation. Finally, she took a deep breath and whispered shyly,

"To aa jaiye na apne Jaan ke pass"

(Then come to your life).

Jungkook's breath caught in his throat as he smiled shyly. Tae's words had made him blush! He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Matlab aap hamhe apne pass bula ke hi rahengi...

(So it means you wanted me to come to you),

As he spoke, he lay down on his bed, hugging his pillow tightly, his heart racing with excitement.

"Ab ham kya kare, ab hamhe aapke bina dil nhi lagta"

(What should I do now, I don't feel nice without you).

She pouted, playing with her long hair, her eyes gazing downward.

"Haaye... Lagta hai ab mujhe aana hi padega"

(Looks like I will have to come now).

He smiled foolishly, his eyes shining with excitement.

Tae bit her lip, her cheeks flushing pink, and simply hummed in response, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

They continued talking until 1 am, lost in their own little world. Jungkook's smile grew wider as he heard Tae's soft snores, a sign that she had finally drifted off to sleep. He gently ended the call, his heart still racing from their conversation.

Without hesitation, he booked his and Jack's tickets to Hyderabad, eager to meet Tae in person.

His mind was racing with thoughts of the stalker, and he had a nagging feeling that the person might be in Hyderabad, close to Tae.

Jungkook's protective instincts kicked in, and he knew he had to be there for her, to keep her safe.

Tae was his top priority now, and he didn't want to disappoint her by not showing up..
