I walk restlessly around the house with my nerves on edge. The full moon shines through the window and I wonder if Liam is okay. The last message I received from Harper was about forty minutes ago saying they had to tie Liam up in the basement as he was more agitated than usual.

I thought he could control himself without getting tied up. I had answered.

Me too, something is not right. But don't worry, I'll keep you updated.

My gaze falls on my phone every five seconds to check for notifications and as time passes and I receive no news I control the urge to leave the house and go to Liam.

My heart almost jumps out of my chest when I hear my cell phone ring and I run to grab it. Harper's name flashes on the screen and I answer immediately.

"Harper? Is Liam okay?" I can barely hear my own voice due to the loud beat of my heart.

"We need you to come here, now."

I don't need her to say anything else, I grab my keys and leave the house quickly.

"I'll be there in five." I get in the truck and start driving at a speed that is certainly not safe. "Is Liam next to you?"

"Yes, you're on speaker."

"Little wolf, hold on, I'll be there before you have time to blink."

"They won't like to see you." I hear Liam's weak voice and press the accelerator harder.

"I don't care, I'll fight them all if they try to keep me away from you."

"I don't want to hurt you."

"You won't."

I hang up the call and in less than three minutes I arrived at Lydia's house. Six figures come out of the huge house and I stop at the door, not approaching. Corey and Mason rush to my side and step in front of me.

"We've got your back." Mason winks and I roll my eyes.

Scott has his true Alpha eyes shining in my direction and with one hand he holds Malia who looks like she wants to jump on me and take my head off and with the other hand she grabs Stiles who doesn't look much different. Lydia is the last to approach. She doesn't seem angry to see me, just curious.

"If you come near him I will kill you." Malia screams and I push Mason and Corey away.

"I'm not here to fight, I just want to see Liam."

The truth is that as much as fighting Malia seems like a pleasant option, the only thing that matters to me right now is Liam.

"Where is he?"

"Don't even think we're going to let you go to him." Stiles tries to free himself from Scott but the grip on his arm is too strong.

"Scott, you can trust him." Mason raises his voice making himself heard over Malia's roars.

"I don't." Scott's eyes don't look away from mine. "But I trust my pack. That's why if you say he's not here to fight us, I believe it. Liam is in the basement with Harper."

"You just have to go down the stairs." Lydia adds.

I run into the house and go down the stairs as quickly as I can. I enter the basement and find Harper sitting in front of Liam. The smell of Liam's fear and Harper's nervousness fill my lungs. I pass by Harper, not paying attention to her, and I kneel in front of Liam, placing my hands on his shoulders, making him stop shaking.
