December 16th - Thursday

Liam P.O.V.

I open my eyes slowly, the light from a lamp blinding me. My body feels numb as if it doesn't belong to me. The voices around me stop when they notice my movement.

"Li!" I feel movement next to me and my mother and father's faces appear in front of me. "You're okay."

My mother helps me sit down and only then I realize that my hand is holding Theo's, still unconscious.

"He'll be fine." I'm surprised to see Melissa.

In fact, Theo seems to have improved. The color has returned to his skin and his touch is no longer cold. I look around the room, Mason, Corey, Sheriff Stilinski and Deaton are also present.

"You scared us. Your mother called us to say you were here." Mason and Corey approach me.

"I can't believe Nolan was capable of doing this."

Sheriff comes to the front with a serious face.

"We found him not far from the library, Parish is taking care of him, he won't bother you again."

I smile weakly, the smell of strawberry shortcakes reaches me.

"They're for Theo, his favorites." My father takes the box away from me.

"I see you have a new favorite child." I cross my arms.

"Of course not, love. But Theo will need energy and we want him to feel better." My mother hugs me from the side.

I look at Deaton who is in the corner of the room reading some notes.

"Deaton." The man comes to me. "Do you know what kind of poison was in the bullets?"

"Yes. It was a laboratory-produced poison, made especially to poison chimeras. I believe the hunters produced it but never used it, Nolan probably had access to it. It's too complex for him to have produced it by himself."

"If it weren't for you, Theo wouldn't have resisted." Melissa alternates her gaze between the two of us.

"How did that happen? I didn't know it was possible to heal other people." Me, Mason and Corey look at Deaton curiously.

"Honestly, neither do I. I've never seen anything like this. From what I've researched, that poison doesn't affect werewolves, so I think it was possible for you to pass on your healing powers to Theo. But I think it's more than that. I think it takes a lot of care to be able to do this. So much so that I have never heard of any other case in which this has happened."

My mouth is dry and Mason and Corey look at me with cheeky smiles.

"Has something like this ever happened before?"

"No... I mean, Theo took away my emotional pain once."

"Really?" I nod. "Fascinating."

"You must have a really strong connection." Melissa smiles.

"Soulmates." Mason exclaims.

"Twin flames." Corey adds.

I see my parents exchange glances and I feel like beating up my friends.

"Call it what you want, I call it love." Deaton says. "Now, we better leave the boys alone, Liam has to rest and Theo should wake up at any moment, there better not be too much commotion. Call me when he wakes up."

Deaton leaves the room calmly as if he hadn't just thrown a bomb.

"I think I like him." I say, when it's only me, Mason and Corey (and unconscious Theo) in the room.
