December 15th - Wednesday
Theo P.O.V.
I open my eyes. I'm in the hospital morgue again.
My bare feet come into contact with the cold floor and I slowly open the door and enter the dark hallway. My heartbeat pounds heavily in my chest, threatening to jump at any moment.
Something feels different, there's a strange energy in the hair. It's not cold or terrifying, it seems like something is here heating the place. Making it more comfortable.
I look to my right, the lamp of Liam's house is still there, this time brighter than the last. I walk towards it, wanting to touch it.
I hear a long, chilling breath behind me and I turn toward the sound, finding Tara crawling toward me with a furious look in her eyes and a hole in her chest dripping blood onto the floor.
My body freezes, my eyes widen and my hands start to shake. A door next to me opens and Liam jumps out of it.
"Li...?" I can't talk, my body is filled with terror and Liam looks angry.
"Stay away from him." Liam growls at Tara and stands in front of me protecting me from my own sister.
This time, Tara doesn't take my heart.
She takes Liam's instead.
I wake up screaming and jump out of bed immediately, my body is sweaty and I only realize I'm crying when it becomes impossible to walk because of my blurred vision.
I walk towards the door wanting desperately to go to Liam's room but before I can reach it, it opens wide.
"Theo, are you oka..."
I jump into Liam's arms holding him with a too strong grip. We have hugged before, but never like this. Never like we didn't want the other to let go.
My body is shaking and I can't breath, Liam wraps his arms around me as strong as mine are around him.
"It's okay, you're okay." He whispers in my ear.
"You... your heart..." I stumble over my words and more tears run down my face. "She took it."
Liam grabs my wrist and places my hand over his chest, right above his heart.
"She didn't. See? It's right here."
I focus on his heartbeat under my hand, strong and fast. His chest goes up and down with his calm breathing. His hand touches my face wiping my tears.
"I'm okay."
I finally calm down but my hand keeps holding onto Liam's shirt.
"Can we lay in bed? I'm tired." I say and Liam drags me to bed.
We lay next to each other and my heartbeat raises again.
"What's wrong?" Liam asks, looking at me worried.
"Can we... nothing, forget it." I put my hands over my face trying to cover the redness that insisted on appearing.
"Tell me." Liam takes my hands making me look into his deep blue eyes.
"Can we cuddle?" I murmur, so low that I doubted even Liam could hear.
"Didn't think we were a cuddler." Liam laughs and I look at him furious.
"Forget it." I turn my back to him and hide my face on the pillow.
"I'm just kidding."
I feel a strong hand on my waist making me hold my breath. Liam makes my body turn towards him again. One of his arms wraps around my waist and the other goes under my neck, pulling me to his chest.
I make myself comfortable and rest my head over his chest hearing his unsteady heartbeat. I smile to myself feeling my own heartbeat align with his.
"Do you feel better?" He asks as his fingers start playing with my hair.
"Yes."
I fall asleep with his warm touch embracing me.
I'm falling in love.
