Nick's P.O.V

I don't have the answer. I don't know what we are. I don't want to scare her off by saying something stupid so I just stare at her blankly.
"A couple of buddies that make out sometimes?" Sadie winks at me.
"Well that's one way to look at it." I chuckle unsure of what to say. I want it to be more. Turn into more but not so soon. We'll go at her pace and see how it pans out.
I stand up holding my hand out for Sadie which she takes scooping up the blanket with the other.
"Wanna know how to piss off Folio?" I smirk at Sadie as we walk towards the river.
"Sure?" Sadie replies uncertain as I let go of her hand running into the water.
"Through the fucking fish!" I laugh water splashing everywhere.
"Fucksake Ruffilo I nearly had one!" Folio grumbles at me clearly pissed off but I don't care. I'm gonna make this girl mine and I feel fucking euphoric.
"Here, help me out." I chuckle holding my hand out for Sadie who kindly takes it.
"No no nooo!" She squeals as I pull her in stumbling backwards falling on my ass taking Sadie with me. She crashes into my chest water sprays everywhere soaking Jolly and Folio on the banking.
"Dude! I'm fucking soaked!" Jolly laughs then jumps into the water himself joining in on the childish behaviour.
"That's what she said." Sadie says making me laugh as she peels herself off of me to stand in the water allowing me to do the same. She begins to start splashing both me and Jolly, squealing when we both splash her back. I notice Folio on the sidelines itching to get involved.
"Fuck it." Folio claims joining us in the water running towards me and tackling me. "That's for scaring my fish away." He laughs as he takes me down.
"Sorry dude it won't happen again." I lie, it's so easy to get a rise out of Folio when it comes to fishing. He's so chilled and laid back until it comes to fucking fish.
"Bullshit!" He chuckles as we both stand, I look over to Sadie who's completely soaked. Her long red hair pushed back trailing down her back, her shorts are an even darker shade of black, her tee shirt sticking to her making me so aware of her every curve. Her eyes finally find mine sending an electric current through me.
Fuck.
She pulls herself out of the river sitting on the banking watching us all fuck about in the water, laughing that sweet laugh every time someone's submerged in water.
"You boys are ruthless." She laughs as I join her wrapping Noah's blanket around us both. "Noah's already mad at us for making out on his blanket. I don't think he's gonna be very happy about it being returned to him wet as well."
"I don't think he's gonna want it back." I reply as Sadie rests her head on my shoulder.
"Why not?"
"Gonna tell him we did the dirty on it when he left." I joke earning a belly laugh from Sadie.
"Eww..." she moans burying her head in her hands. "F.Y.I I'd never fuck you in such a public place. Especially with your friends so near by."
"But you'd fuck me?" I smirk and she lifts her head to look at me, showing no signs of timidness only confidence. Her eyes pierce through me, I can't take my own off of her.
"Oh I'd definitely fuck you."

Sadie's P.O.V

"O'right Nick, do you drive?" I ask Nick after we've all eaten dinner.
"Yeah why?" He replies as he places the last dish on the rack to dry.
"Can we go for a drive?" I want an excuse to get time with him alone away from the house again.
"Sure, let's go." He smiles as he dries his hands and I make my way to the hall to slip on my checkered vans. "Where do you wanna go?" Nick asks as he swipes his keys and opens the door gesturing for me to go first.
"I don't know. I just wanted an excuse to be alone with you. Take me anywhere. Take me to some of your favourite places." I smile as we get in the car.
"Hmm... okay. Here you can put your music on." Nick says as he starts the car and I connect my phone to the aux settling on "Just Like Heaven" by The Cure. "Damn, good choice." Nick smiles as he hums along to the song pulling out of the drive.
"I love The Cure. They remind me of my mam." I reply thinking of my beautiful Irish Mammy.
"You guys close?"
"So close. She's my best friend."
"Are you like her?" Nick asks not taking his eyes off of the road.
"Och, I hope so."

"Come on, we can go sit down there." Nick smiles as he cuts the engine and we both get out the car.
"It's so peaceful here." I return the smile as we make our way down to the beach and onto the sand. "Do you come here a lot?"
"When I need to be alone, or just want to take a moment away from the house. If I'm feeling a lil down I'll come here then too. It's just so calming to be near the ocean watching the sun setting onto the water." He explains as we both sit down on the sand.
"It's beautiful..." I reply as we both look out to sea. There's a slight chill in the air but the sky is clear and it's still bright out. Back home it would almost be dark by now.
"What's some stuff you wanna do while you're out here?" Nick asks and I feel put on the spot.
"Oh god, so much. I wanna go to the beaches, I wanna see the Hollywood sign, I wanna go to Disney. I might do New York. I've always wanted to go." I list off the places I plan on visiting.
"Do you need company?"
"Are you offering up being my tour guide Nicholas?" I wink at Nick.
"Possibly. If you'd like." Nicks cheek flame red at his own reply.
"I'd love that."
We sit on the beach watching the sunset for the next couple of hours talking, cuddling entwined with one and other.
Just friends? Yeah, my fucking ass just friends.
