Soooooo this once again takes place in 2024. I'm really liking the story of y/n and Shakes at Walmart for some reason lol. I might make a separate story about it. Would that be a good idea??
"Oh, y/nnnnnnnnnn" Ari, says walking up behind me "oh, Arianaaaa" I say, she leans against the table "guess where we have to go" she says, I already knew where we were going. I rolled my eyes and turned around "Walmart" I say, and she smiles "yep" she says, I take another bite of my French toast and look up at her "do we have to?" I ask, "yes, we need to get milk, garbage bags, juice, and the stuff for dinner" she says, I sigh and finish my food "I'll go get ready" I say and stand up. Surprisingly Ariana hugs me. She doesn't really like physical touch so when ever she hugs me I just stand as still as possible "you can hug me back you know" she says, I hug her back for I few seconds.
I head upstairs and get dressed, put on some makeup, and clip my hair back. Once I get downstairs I see Ariana waiting for me "where's mom and dad?" I ask, since I haven't seen them all morning "oh, they went for a walk on the beach. They should be back by five" she says, and I nod and head over to her "promise you won't mess around in the store" I say, tying my shoes, she does her evil laugh "I'm not promising anything" she says, I roll my eyes "bitch I'll throw you in the damn freezers there" I say, she laughs "and I'll tell Shakes about your dreams" she says, "you better not" I say, and and smiles "come on let's go" she says opening up the door "yea, yea" I say, waving my hand infront of her. She snorts and we head outside. We walk out the door and it's not boiling hot for once. "Wow, it's actually not super hot outside" I say, and she nods "I know. It's nice to have a breeze for once" she says, grabbing her phone to play some music. She looks over at me "ok, seriously though, you really like Shakes" she says, I sigh "yeah, why?" I ask, "well, what if he likes you back?" She asks, I never really thought about it. He's almost 18 and I'm 14. He's to old "I'm not sure. He's to old thought" I say, she thinks for a minute "come on its like a three or four year age difference. It's not that bad" she says, "girl it'd be illegal" I say, she thinks again "well, maybe you guys could date once your eighteen" she says, "yea, if he even likes me" I say, "I'm sure he does" Ari says, and I chuckle a little bit "doubt it" I say
Once we make it to the store we're both in desperate need of something to drink "I'm so thirsty I considered drinking the sewer water" Ariana says, I look at her and laugh "honestly me to" I say, we both laugh and grab a shopping cart. We walk inside and go to the cooler to grab a drink "I'm seriously going to merry this soda" I say, Ariana looks at me "well, that's concerning" she says, I laugh. We walk down each isle to grab stuff for dinner "oh, there's Nicky" she says, "hey, Nick" Ari says, he smiles "hey girls. Sorry I still don't know your names" he says, I grab some mashed potatoes "I'm Y/n, this is Ariana" I say, he nods "are you guys sisters?" He asks, "No, were just best friends" Ariana says, "oh, cool. OH, by the way, y/n, your boyfriend is up at the registers today" Nick says, I look at him confused at first "my boyfriend?" I ask, he opens another box "Lorenzo" he says, Ariana snorts "he's not my boyfriend. He's to old" I say, "you have to be all of sixteen or seventeen" He says, I look at him again while putting the stuff into the cart "try fourteen" I say, he looks at me in shock "your seriously fourteen?" He asks, "yep" I say, he grabs some sauce out of the jar "wow, you are to young" he says chuckling, I laugh "well, y/n we should probably go grab the rest of the stuff" Ariana says, I nod "have a good day Nick" I say, "you to" he says.
We finish shopping and head for the checkout. I notice Ariana looking around "what are you looking for?" I ask, she looks even harder "your boyfriend" she says, I sigh "he's not my boyfriend thank you" I say, rolling my eyes. She turns the cart and Shakes is tha bagger and Ariana knew exactly what she was doing "hey, guys" Shakes says, "hey, Shakes" Ariana says, "hey" I say, "so, your bagging today?" I ask, attempting to make conversations and actually be calm for once "yea, just for today though. We're a little short staffed so they have me up here and they have Nick doing a few more shelves today" he says, I stand and listen as he bags up the stuff. My eyes move from his eyes to his lips then to his hands. Ariana, snapped me out of my zone when she slapped me in the face with a candy bar "what the fuck" I say, Shakes, couldn't help but laugh "you were spaced out. I had to bring you back some how" she said, I snatched the candy out of her hand "so, you slap me with a snickers bar?" I ask, Ariana, handed me my soda and I started taking a drink "be thankful I slapped you across the face with something that has nuts in it" She said, I choked on my soda, accidentally spilling some on my shirt and my face went red. Shakes, busted out laughing until he had tears in his eyes. Ariana, was laughing at the whole scene and grabbed her Pepsi "I hate you for that" I said, wiping my chin that had soda on it. Shakes, was still laughing hysterically "I don't hate you for it" he said, you could see a couple tears running down his cheeks from laughing so hard. After a couple minutes we all calmed down a bit. He was still slightly laughing but had relaxed. "Here's some tissues" he said, and handed me some Kleenex. I wiped my face and shirt "thank you" I said, we got the bags into the cart and paid for the stuff. "Have a good day girls" he said, "you to" Ariana said, we started walking but I stopped and remembered something that my grandma always told me to say to a boy if I like him. I turned around to face him "Shakes, can I ask you something?" I ask, he turns to face me. Ariana had already stopped to see what I was doing "what's up?" He asks, I think for a second before speaking "how old are you?" I ask, I knew he was around eighteen but hoped that he would be a little closer to me in age "seventeen, but I'll be eighteen in two months" he said, well shit. I nodded and smiled "damn that's to bad" I say, he looks at me confused "why?" He asks, Ariana, knew exactly what I was doing "because I really like you" I said, and turned around and walked back to Ariana. Shakes mouth opened a little bit to say something but nothing came out. His face was a light shade a pink. I turned around one more time "have a good one Shakes" I say, and smiled "yea, uh, right, have a good one" he says, and smiles back.
Once we're outside Ariana starts talking "so, we're flirting now?" She asks, with a big smirk on her face "oh, bite me and eat your snickers bar" I say, and roll my eyes "girl, after what you said he had his mouth agape like he was trying to catch flies" she says, I couldn't help but laugh at the flies part. "Maybe I was flirting but hey, grandma said thats what to do if you like a boy" I said, Ariana rolled her eyes "well, unfortunately he's to old for me" I say, she smirks "think you need someone older" she says, referring to the song Older by Isabella LaRosa. I, smile "you know she has a point when she says "guys my age just aren't the same" like she's not wrong" I say, and laugh. Ariana, starts laughing "well, he definitely likes you" she says, "yea, well if he does he's gonna have to wait like four years for to even go on a date with him" I say, "and I'm sure he will wait" Ariana says, I smile and continue talking about the situation. Maybe we could date someday....
