Early morning by the Kim family’s living room were the two couples who slept there after a long yet meaningful time being spent between them and Minji’s family last night. Being an early bird her whole life, Hanni woke up earlier than everyone else as she looked over to her side where Minji and Jeongin were still deep in slumber. With her eyes still halfway closed, she got her phone and managed to get the time being 5:57 in the morning and that was before her eyes drifted to her other side and a soft snicker escaped her lips as soon as her eyes landed on a still sleeping Lee Yongjae.
Then Hanni scooted closer to him as she laid back down and her arm found its way around his torso and her chin was resting on his shoulder. “Oppa~” She whispered ever so softly as her lips were near to his ear and it made him let out a slight hum yet still sleeping. “...wake up honey~” She whispered another one before giving his cheek a couple of soft kisses and then it finally woke Yongjae up as his eyes were opening slowly and his head immediately turned over to her. “You’re up early…” His hoarse voice was and always will be her favourite voice to hear in the world. “I did. We’re going for a morning walk remember?” She whispered as their eyes couldn’t leave each other.
“Yeah, I remember. You want to go now?” He asked while his hand was caressing her soft cheek, brushing her hair to the back of her ear while admiring her natural beauty before Hanni nodded her head and then went over and gave him a soft morning kiss as usual. Having a plan to do it already, Hanni and Yongjae silently and quietly got up, folded the soft mattresses neatly before putting it aside and then got their padded jackets on after washing their faces and got their teeth brushed.
Ready to start their day, Hanni and Yongjae got outside with her carrying her camera in her hand. “Heading for a walk you two?” As soon as the two got out, Mingyu coincidentally walked over from behind the house and usually he’d be pushing a wheel barrow every time but now, thanks to Jeongin and his team’s effort, Mingyu no longer need to spend more of his energy as the self moving wheel barrow really helped a lot and he could spend his day doing more work than usual with his reserved energy.
“Yes we are~ Good morning by the way.” The two bowed down to the older man who’s clearly enjoying his time with the improved tool. “Then I suggest you two take a right turn at the entrance of this road and then just straight ahead, there’s a two way road, take the left one and you’ll find an open wide field and it’s very cozy and comfortable this time of the day.” Mingyu gave them a suggestion. “I see. Thank you Mingyu hyung, we’ll be on our way now then…” Nodded his head, Yongjae and Hanni then took their leave.
Walking side by side, hands holding each other’s tightly and safely, the gentle blowing morning breeze was indeed calming and cozy and there’s nothing else that matters right now, it’s just Hanni and Yongjae, as promised, spending today together and enjoying the village while they’re still here. The two remained silent but there was no tension between them as they safely reached the entrance of the pebble road before following Mingyu’s suggestion and took the right turn. As they were continuing their walk, there was a moment where Hanni looked over at her man next to her and the way his eyes couldn’t dart away from the beautiful surroundings around them was making her heart warm.
