Chapter 13:Prayer.STACEY.
A bad turn of events, yes, a bad turn of events, it had been a week, a week since he found me, things had changed, no things had gotten from good to worse.
I caressed Ed's head as she slept on her hospital bed, what I had found out from the doctor was shocking to the least, my baby, my precious baby had been suffering from appendicitis.
Yet she didn't mentioned it to me, I as a mother had no idea my daughter was suffering so much, the doctor had lectured me on how dangerous it could have been if she had been found any later than she was.
This made me wonder if I was a bad mother, maybe I wasn't fit with the title of a mother, it was best I went back to being just Stacey to her.
" Hm," she groaned, her voice soft like velvet, " Mom," she whispered, flipping back her white hair that sticked all over her face, I had been tucking it away yet it wouldn't bulge.
" Yes baby," I smiled, helping her up the bed." How are you feeling?... Hungry? Hm?" I asked, my voice soft.
She nodded," and tired,"
" Um...I will go get you something to eat than," I patted her shoulder as she nodded.
Then I headed out to find her food, the pat days had been hectic, not only because of Ed.
My eyes glanced at the TV's situated around the waiting room, as news of STEDMIA was displayed and debated by reporters as they dissected my life like they lived it themselves.
I found myself licking my un sudden dry lips more than once.
I was surprised people cared about the fashion world so much in hospitals, if course they did, they are humans too, human hopping for recovery, waiting to return home to their family, like my Mom once did, like Tomi once did.
" she was a prostitute," one of them scowled, disgust displayed on her face.
And to be honest, it made her less attractive, not like she ever was, taking my eyes away from the screen forcasting my misery, I bought food from a near by restaurant and returned to the room where Ed was, I met her with closed eyes again as the nurse check her drip.
She looked familiar to me in a way I couldn't comprehend but I only shrugged it off.
" How is she?" I whispered, placing the warmer holding her food on the table.
" She is fine, and her wounds her healing faster than expected, her recovery is quite quick and there's a possibility she will be discharged in a week, for now she needs your attention and care though," she informed, in light spirit.
A smile to cheer me up.
" Oh,thank you," I smiled back.
" My pleasure, now if you excuse me," She lifted the trail she had picked up," I have other kids to attend to, I will be back to check on the both of you,"
" I am not-" before I could finish my sentence, she was out the room.
I looked away from her to my sleeping Princess, how I miss her innocent smile and cheerful words.
I was a bitch and I knew it, I closed my groggy eyes with a sigh, " it will all be okay," I could hear in my head, as If GOD was encouraging me.
I smiled, " thank you lord," despite my ungrateful self, he still loved and cared for me.
I sat down on the bed with Ed, the bed was large enough to contain two of us easily, with our small frames, holding her hands, I found myself closing my eyes as I prayed it all ends well.
