Chapter 17: Man in the sketch.Stacey.
My head hurt, my back ached, my stomach ached, my whole body felt like it was being torn into pieces.
I whimpered, the cool material of the sudden soft floor did little in helping me relax.
Just how long had I slept on the cold marble tile?
"Mom! " my little angels voice sounded in my head, making me smile.
She was just too lovely, too lovely to suffer from my mistake, she had no part in my mistake, neither would I allow her to have a part in my pain.
I wanted yo sit up again, I wanted to press on his doorbell and beg, beg him until he listened to my pleas.
"Mom, " I felt her shake me like she always did every morning.
I blinked again, unable to understand why I felt my daughter's hand on my body when I was miles away from home.
"Mom, breakfast Is ready, "
Her words made me sit up the floor faster than I sat on it, that was when I realized that I had been in my room all along, and the soft-cold marble tile was not a tile but my bed.
I glanced around, "h-how did I get here? "
" someone brought you home, he said you slept off In front of a house, so he brought you home, " Edna replied, Sitting beside me on the bed.
" you were burning up pretty bad, " she stated, "though I wonder why he brought you home instead of an hospital, are you okay Mom? "
I nodded my head, did Mr Aman bring me home? But why would he do that I he hated me so much.
"Um... Baby, do you recognize who he is? "
"Yes, he is that man on the sketch in the locked room, " she replied.
" locked room? "
"Hm hm, the man on the sketch, " she added.
"How is that possible, are you sure? "
"Yes mom, he brought you home, he told me his name, what was it again?, is it Dam- Oh Damien! yes Damien, " she insisted.
Before I could ask any further, a knock sounded at my room door, " can I come in? " Molly asked.
"Yes, come in, " Ed answered for me and I threw her a greatful smile.
"Hey, " Molly greeted, walking towards me with a tray in her hand.
"Hey, " I responded, flashing her a greatful smile.
"How are you feeing? "
"Great, think you, "
" its okay dear, you should rest more, your life is more import than your work," she advised.
"Thank you Molly, " I nodded.
" here, I brought you breakfast, " She placed the tray in front of me.
