Y/N's POV :

I sat boredly on my bed, twiddling with my thumbs. The sounds from the outside world filled the atmosphere, setting an ambient vibe. Made this place feel more.....calm. It had been a couple of months since I joined the cricus. To be honest, as time has been going by, I've been getting more content about this place. I befriended Ragatha and Gangle, and Pomni hjad gotten a little more used to the place. It felt nice to have friends.

But things have been happening with Jax and I. Not in a mad way!...I've just been feeling....different.....towards him. Whenever he's around, I'd get a warm feeling in my chest, my face would always heat up and I'd start stuttering. Any conversation with him would end up being me stuttering and awkwardly walking to my room. I don't even know why it's been happening.

I was dragged out of my thoughts by a knock on my door.

Y/N : "You can come in."

The door slowly creaked open to reveal Jax himself. My face heated up incredibly as I moved into a more better posture from slouching.

Y/N : "U-UH-- H-H-- UHH--- YOU LIKE JAZZ??"

Jax chuckled a little, making my heart thump harder than it ever has before.

Y/N : "S-Sorry-"

I looked away in embarrassment. Jax slid next to me so we were sitting together, which only made my face heat up even more. I turned back to Jax, preparing to strike up a conversation WITHOUT stuttering my ass off.

Y/N : "So.....what do you need?"

Jax : "C-Caine made the others g-go on an adventure and kept me behind."

Well, looks like I'm not the one stuttering.

Y/N : "Oh?"

Jax : "And he told me to come get you."

Y/N : "Okay, now I'm scared. Are we in trouble..?"

Jax shrugged.

Jax : "At least if we're in trouble then we're not alone."

That sentence made my heart flutter; didn't know hearts were butterlies.

Jax : "Come on, let's go see why Caine's keeping us behind."

Jax sat up and offered me a hand. I looked away in a pout.

Y/N : "Hmph! I don't need a man to help me up."

Everything was silent.

Y/N : "Don't pester me about this."

I turned back around and grabbed Jax's hand, in which he pulled me up from my bed.

Jax : "I can't make any promises, princess.."
