Act 16. Abduction - Sailor Mercury

"MARS!!"

Hikari fell to her knees, completely devastated. Did Sailor Mars just die? The sight of her surrounded by flames was completely terrifying. It looked like she was suffering.

"Sailor Moon, Sun, Mercury?!" she heard Minako and Makoto's screams. Hikari looked at them with teary eyes.

"Sailor Mars... she... she got..." Sailor Sun started bursting out in tears. She felt Mamoru's reassuring hand on her shoulder.

"People are crowding around" Makoto noticed, looking around the place.

"We must de-transform!" Mercury ordered and everyone did as she said.

Hikari's eyes were still glued to the place where she saw Mars trapped in the flames. Only if they arrived earlier... maybe there was a chance to save her. But now it was too late.

"Chibihika! What are you doing here?!" she heard Usagi's scream and immediately turn her head to look at her younger sister. "Were you spying on us or something?! What do you know about all of this?!" she kept asking questions, getting closer to the kid. "Or maybe... it was your friends who kidnapped Mars!"

"Usagi!!" Hikari reprimanded her, finally getting up and approaching her sister.

She knew that Usagi was also devastated by the disappearance of their beloved friend. But she shouldn't blame the kid. They still don't know much about Chibihika and by acting like that, the girl won't trust them enough to tell what she was actually doing here.

"Solis?" younger Tsukino asked, seeing the cat jumping in front of Chibihika.

"Usagi, calm down already!" Solis said, definitely annoyed.

Before they even realized, Chibihika already ran away. When she run, all of them noticed the strange key and crystal which looked just like the Legendary Solar Crystal peeking out from her shirt.

"If you keep acting like that, we won't be able to get any informations out of her" Solis said and Usagi ran away with tears in her eyes.

"Usagi!!" Hikari screamed after her sister.

"You were too rough on her, you know?" Hikari sighed, looking at the ginger cat sitting on her shoulder. "We have no idea what happened to Rei-chan. Usagi had every right to react this way"

After the fight, Hikari decided to stay with Mamoru. She wanted to give Usagi space to think about everything that happened. She knew her younger sister better than anyone else and knew that bothering her definitely won't help. The only person who could actually help Usagi in this moment was Akio.

"She blamed the child for Hino-san's kidnapping" Solis defended herself.

"The same child who threatened to kill me if I won't give her the Solar Crystal"

Mamoru just shook his head, listening to their bicker. Everything was so confusing. By arguing over this, they won't be able to defeat enemy and save Rei. But he also knew that he wasn't able to prevent the fight over this in the group. After all, one of the sailor guardians got kidnapped.

Suddenly, he stopped. He was sure he noticed something, or rather someone.

"Mamo-chan?"

"Riri-chan, Solis, look" he pointed at the playground in front of them. "Chibihika is there"

It wasn't safe for a child to wander when it was dark and raining. The group immediately ran to the playground.
