Kayli's appointment had gone as expected - a mix of reassurance and concern. Dr.Patel calm demeanor had eased Kayli's nerves, yet the weight of his words lingered in her mind. She decided to get on birth control even though she was completely against it.

After her slip up with Ezra, she wanted to be careful from here on out. She didn't have time for an unwanted or unexpected pregnancy. The waiting room was less crowded than when she had arrived.

People sat patiently, some with expressions of relief, others with furrowed brows absorbed in their thoughts. A young mother softly hushed her baby while an elderly man slowly rose from his seat, using his cane for support.

As she made her way towards the exit, she passed by the reception desk. The receptionist, a friendly middle-aged woman with a warm smile, greeted me with a nod. "Take care now," she said, her voice kind and reassuring.

Outside, the sun was beginning to set, casting a golden hue over the city streets. Taking a deep breath, Kayli felt a newfound clarity wash over her. The familiar sounds of traffic and distant conversations enveloped her, grounding her in the present moment.

Kayli walked briskly towards her car, her heels clicking against the pavement. She fished her keys out of her purse and pressed the unlock button. The car responded with a soft beep and the flash of its lights.

Gripping the handle, she opened the door, slid into the driver's seat, and tossed her bag onto the passenger seat. Taking a deep breath, she started the engine, ready to head home and prepare for the evening's dinner with her friends.

Kayli stepped into her apartment and immediately kicked off her heels, feeling the coolness of the wooden floor beneath her feet. She headed straight to her bedroom, where a chic, black dress hung on the closet door, waiting for her.

It had been a few weeks since she moved into her new house. Only her bedroom and bathroom were fully furnished - she was taking her time with the living room and kitchen. It was a process and she wanted everything to be perfect.

She took a quick shower, letting the warm water wash away the day's fatigue. After wrapping herself in a soft, fluffy towel, she moved to her vanity. She moisturized her skin, then carefully applied her makeup: a touch of foundation, a sweep of blush, and a hint of highlighter to accentuate her cheekbones.

She opted for a smoky eye look, blending shades of gray and black with precision, and finished with a few coats of mascara to make her eyes pop. A bold red lipstick added the perfect finishing touch.

She then styled her hair, curling it into loose waves that framed her face. She slipped into her dress, the fabric hugging her figure just right. Standing in front of the full-length mirror, she admired her reflection for a moment.

She chose a pair of elegant earrings and a delicate necklace to complete her outfit. After slipping on her favorite black heels, she grabbed her clutch and checked that she had all the essentials: phone, keys, wallet, and lipstick for touch-ups.

Satisfied with her look, she felt a boost of confidence. Kayli checked the time as it was nearing towards 5:30, she began to head out the door since Miracle set the reservations for 6:15.

Closing and locking the door behind her, she made her way to her car. Kayli slid into the driver's seat, adjusting the mirror and taking a moment to enjoy the sense of anticipation.

She started the engine, and the car hummed to life. As she navigated through the evening traffic, the city lights began to twinkle against the deepening dusk.

Turning on the radio, the song Something Keeps Pulling Me Back by HER began to play, setting the perfect mood for the night. The route was familiar since this was a restaurant the girls always attended.
