THE NEXT MORNING, Kayli woke up before Trevon. The early sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the room. She lay there for a moment, watching him sleep peacefully.

Gently, she reached out and began to play with his dreads, twirling them softly between her fingers. A smile spread across her face as she thought about how happy she felt with him. Trevon stirred slightly but didn't wake, his trust and comfort evident in the way he slept beside her.

Kayli felt a deep sense of contentment wash over her. She knew she had found something truly special with Trevon. Something she never felt before even with Ezra.

As Trevon began to stir, his eyes slowly fluttering open, he felt the gentle touch of Kayli's fingers in his hair. He smiled sleepily, looking up at her with a soft, affectionate gaze.

"Good morning," he murmured, his voice husky from sleep.

"Good morning," Kayli replied, leaning down to give him a quick kiss on the forehead. "I have to head out soon. I'm meeting Miracle and Skylar today."

Trevon nodded, stretching lazily. "Sounds like a fun day. Will I see you later?"

"Definitely," Kayli said with a smile. "I'll text you when I'm done."

"Perfect," Trevon said, pulling her in for a quick hug before she got up. "Be safe & have fun."

"You too," she replied, feeling a warm glow in her chest as she got ready to leave.

Kayli got dressed and gathered her things while Trevon watched her with a contented smile. She leaned down to give him one last kiss before heading out the door.

As Kayli arrived at the hair salon, she spotted both Skylar and Miracle already waiting for her. They greeted each other with hugs and excited chatter before settling into their chairs. As the stylists began working on their hair, the conversation naturally turned to their relationships.

"So, how are things with Trevon?" Skylar asked, raising an eyebrow with a curious smile.

Kayli blushed slightly. "Things are good. We've been spending a lot of time together, and he's just so sweet."

Miracle grinned. "Sounds like he's really into you."

The conversation flowed easily, with each of them sharing stories about their significant others. Laughter and teasing filled the room as they recounted funny moments and sweet gestures.

"Oh, by the way," Miracle said, turning to Kayli, "what are your plans for your birthday? It's coming up soon."

Kayli thought for a minute before responding, "I don't know really. Any suggestions?"

"How about a cozy dinner at that new restaurant downtown?" Skylar suggested. "I've heard great things about their food."

"Or maybe a backyard barbecue?" Miracle added. "It's casual, fun, and you can invite more people without worrying about space."

Kayli considered both options. "I love the idea of a barbecue. It's relaxed, and we can have a mix of everyone there—friends and family."

Skylar nodded enthusiastically. "Perfect! We can help with the decorations and the food. It'll be a blast."

Just then, the stylists finished their work, and the three friends admired each other's new looks in the mirror. They paid and gathered their things, still chatting excitedly about the upcoming birthday party and their plans for the day.

As they walked out of the salon, Miracle glanced at Skylar and Kayli with a hint of excitement in her eyes. "Hey, speaking of relationships, I have some news," she began, her voice filled with anticipation.
