THE NEXT MORNING, Kayli woke up with a sense of excitement and anticipation. The memory of her conversation with Trevon the previous night brought a smile to her face. She stretched and got out of bed, ready to start her day and prepare for the day.
Going into the bathroom, she turned on the water to the hottest setting. Wasting no time, she hopped into the shower, letting the hot water wash away any lingering sleepiness.
She took her time, enjoying the steam and the quiet moment to herself. After her shower, she wrapped herself in a fluffy towel and stood in front of the mirror, contemplating how to do her hair.
Deciding on a loose, wavy style, she carefully dried her hair and used a curling iron to create soft, beachy waves.
Next, she stood in front of her closet, trying to decide what to wear. After a few moments of deliberation, she chose a casual yet stylish outfit: a light blue sundress that complemented her complexion and a pair of comfortable yet chic sandals. She accessorized with a simple necklace and a pair of hoop earrings.
Hearing a ping coming from her phone indicating she had a notification, she checked her phone to see she had a message from Trevon. She found a text from him confirming their plans for the evening:

Feeling excited about her date and wanting to share the news, Kayli grabbed her phone and made a group FaceTime with both her friends Miracle & Skylar.
"Hey, Kayli!" Miracle greeted cheerfully as she connected to the call.
"Hey Miracle! I'm waiting on Skylar to answer," Kayli began, her voice brimming with enthusiasm.
Within a couple seconds, Sky connected to the call, her phone was prompt up as she was getting ready for her day. "Goodmorning beauties! What's going on?"
"I've got some exciting news," Kayli exclaimed before continuing, "Y'all remember the guy Trevon I was telling y'all about over dinner?"
"Of course we do, the man you swear you don't have a crush on," Miracle playfully joked causing the girls to laugh.
Kayli couldn't help but blush before continuing on, "Yes, that's him! Well, he got invited to perform at Club Vibe tonight and he asked me to go out with him!"
"Wow, that's awesome! Trevon's really making moves," Miracle responded, genuinely excited. "And a date with him? That's big news!"
"I know, right? I'm really looking forward to it," Kayli said, a smile spreading across her face. "I was also wondering if y'all would like to come to the performance. It'd be great to have you both there."
"Absolutely! I'd love to support Trevon and be there with you," Miracle replied without hesitation.
"Of course! I'd love to be there and support Trevon," Sky said enthusiastically. "Count me in."
