KIARA'S POV:

After a few hours, Tifu finally calmed down. I'm honestly worried about her situation. We were heading to the Pride Rock when we noticed that Gamba was talking to Kovu and his mother. His mother saw us and smiled. We smiled back. Eventually, Tifu stopped walking.

"Tifu, you can't avoid him forever," I said. This can't continue like this.

"Kiara I can't do this!!" she said in a scary tone. She was right. She wasn't ready. She was tired and full of emotions.

"Ok, ok. But can you promise me that you will talk to him next morning?" She stayed quiet, wondering if she would make a promise.

"Ok, promised." I hugged her, and then she left.

I was walking to Pride Rock. Kovu noticed that and came to hug me. I nuzzled him with a lot of intensity. Kula noticed and smiled. She went inside Pride Rock. Then I saw Gamba approaching us. Oh shit!! Please don't talk about that, please.

"Hey, Kiara, can we talk to you for a second?" Wait "WE".

"Yes, of course.".

"Did Tifu recognize me?" What am I supposed to say? I can't say, -Yes, she did. Oh, and by the way, she has been crying all afternoon because she doesn't know if she can trust you.".

"Why, have you guys met before?"

"They've basically had. It's complicated." Kovu said.

"Well, she didn't tell me anything."

"Really, that's strange; I thought that she recognized me. And by the way, did you have fun with the other girls?" He obviously knew that we weren't with the others. Well, smart Gamba, but you won't get anything from me. I smiled and said,

"No, we actually went in the wrong direction, and we took the opportunity to spend time together, like we used to do when we were younger." "This was what you guys wanted to talk about?"

"Well yeah, thanks, Kiara," he said and left. I didn't say a thing to Kovu. I just went inside the Pride Rock and laid down in our usual spot. "How dare he set me up like that?" I thought. "We were supposed to be a team, not opponents!". I saw him coming closer to me. I didn't want to talk to him, not right now. I saw my mom entering the cave and took it as an opportunity.

"Hey mom, can I talk to you for a sec?"

"Yes, hun, of course. Is everything alright?"

"We'll talk about that outside," I said, looking at him. He made a confused expression. He probably understood that he was the problem. We walked outside, and I explained to my mother the situation. By the end of it, my eyes were glassy.

"Well, I completely understand why you are upset, but I also think that you should talk to him right now. You don't want this to become a serious fight." I nodded. "Do you want me to call him and tell him to come over here?"

"Yes, mom, thank you," I said, smiling.

KOVUS'S POV:

"We'll talk about that outside." She said this, looking at me with an annoyed expression. What did I do? I must have been in the conversation. She was in a good mood when she came back.

"You really messed things up." I turned and saw my father.

"Yeah, but I don't really know why.".

"Ok, you don't know why; that's what happens in most situations like this. I think you should just apologize."

"Yeah, but what if she asks, why am I apologizing?"

"You say things like "for upsetting you" or "for the way I treated you" He stopped talking. I turned my head back and saw Nala coming inside.

"Kovu could you follow me, please?" I looked at my dad. I was really nervous. I followed her and saw Kiara at the entrance of the Pride Rock. She was looking at the ground.

"Go over there and talk to her. Let her speak first, and don't try to make excuses. Admit what you've done and apologize," Nala said. She probably thinks that is my fault.

I walked down and saw Kiara. She turned her head back. I saw that she hadn't been crying, but she was almost.

"Hey Ki," I said in a calm tone.

"Why did you do it?" She said this and immediately started crying. "Why were you trying to set me up? I thought we were a team!" She started crying a lot.

"Babe, I'm sorry," I said, giving her a hug. "We are a team, and we will always be.".

"Right now, you seem to be on the opposite team." I don't know how to answer that. Then I remembered the first question that she had asked.

"Ki, I didn't know that Gamba would say that."

"But why did you even agree to participate in this?! You know I wouldn't tell anything." She said this, trying to clean up her tears.

"I just wanted to do something for my brothers. They're really close to each other, and I just wanted to be a part of the family," I said, holding her body against mine. We stayed like that for a couple of minutes, and then she said

"I didn't think about that. I'm sorry I overreacted. I just felt betrayed. It was a horrible feeling."

"I promise that you will never feel that again when you're with me," I said, licking her chick.

"We should probably go inside." We walked to the den. Nala and father were talking. She saw us and gave Kiara a look. I don't know how she replied, but Nala smiled. We went to our usual spot. I laid down, and she did the same. But this time was different. She was really close to me. Her head was in my head. I thought that it was bothering her, so I moved a bit. She also moved in my direction. I didn't move a muscle. In that, I understood that I had risked my relationship to do a favor! That would never happen again.
