KIARA'S POV:

I woke up with the sun on my face! I turned my head and saw Kovu, the lion that was inside me yesterday. Wait, YESTERDAY!? Shit, we fell asleep! Dad is going to kill me! No, he will kill me, than Kovu!

"Kovu, wake up!" He slowly opened his eyes, looked at me and smiled.

"Morning gorgeous, did you sleep well?"

"Kovu how can you be so calm!?" He looked at me and asked

"Geez, babe, are you alright?"

"Kovu, we are not at the Pride Rock; my father is going to kill us!"

I was starting to freak out when suddenly I felt Kovu's lips touch mine. I felt more relaxed.

"Hey, look at me; what happened happened; there's no point worrying about things we can't control. Your father will surely be furious, but my brothers and your mother will hopefully help to calm the situation."

"Yes, I guess you're right." We stayed quiet for a few seconds, and then Kovu asked,

"Hey, umm, do you regret what we did yesterday?" I smiled and moved closer to him.

"I don't regret anything." After saying that, I gave him a kiss. My tongue was asking permission to enter his mouth. After permission had been granted, our tongues were tangled together. Kovu interrupted the kiss and said,

"We'd better hurry; the longer we take, the more your father will punish us." I agreed and got up. I noticed that my legs were a little sore, but I ignored it. I walked toward Pride Rock. As we got closer, my heart was racing, and I was afraid of my father's reaction. Halfway there, we came across Tifu.

"Oh, Kiara, you're all right," she said as she hugged me. "You're crazy! You think you can stay out all night without even telling anyone. I tried to cover for you and said that you went hunting together and that you were probably taking longer because you wanted something specific, and then you stayed there to eat. But since you lovers wanted to spend the night having fun, the lie was useless."

"Do you know how things are at Pride Rock?"

"No, I didn't have the courage to go back there, but I saw your brothers going there. They probably realized what happened, so they went there to cover for you." She said this last part looking at Kovu.

"Okay, Tifu, thank you," I said as I hugged her.

"Any time, but you'd better hurry; your father's probably furious."

She said goodbye to us, and I started to freak out. I couldn't imagine my father's reaction. He was going to kill me, then kill Kovu, then resurrect him just to have the pleasure of killing him again. We were passing through the grove next to Pride Rock when suddenly someone started running towards us. It was Akili.

"Kovu, there you guys are! Brother, you're so messed up. But don't worry, Gamba and I have come up with another excuse based on Tifu's." Kovu nodded, waiting to hear his brother's plan.

"So you were going hunting, but Kiara wanted to eat wildebeest. The herd is a bit far from Pride Rock at the moment, so it took them a while to get there. Shortly after you'd finished eating, Kiara was feeling very unwell, to the point where she couldn't walk," Kovu interrupted him.

"But wait, Simba is sure to ask why I didn't carry her."

"We're one step ahead of you. You say that you really tried to carry her, but the pain was increasing because her belly was squeezed. You, therefore, thought it best to spend the night there and return in the morning. Have you memorized everything?" We both nodded and started towards Pride Rock. I was genuinely nervous.

We were in front of the steps of Pride Rock. I started climbing the steps with Kovu behind me. I was remembering the story Akili had told us. When I finished climbing the steps, I saw my mother, my father, Kovu's parents, and Gamba all together. They were all sitting down, except for Simba, who was moving around.

"Simba, relax; Kiara is with Kovu; she won't get hurt," said his mother in an attempt to calm him down.

"How can I calm down when my daughter could be pregnant right now?"

A few seconds later, I entered the scene.

"Hey everyone! What's going on?"

"Oh, Kiara, daughter, you're fine."

"Yes, but I'm still a bit nauseous."

"Nauseous? That sounds like a symptom of pregnancy to me!" said my father, shouting in my face.

"Pregnancy, who's pregnant?!" asked Kovu.

"Dad, I'm not pregnant! Where did that idea even come from?"

"You and Kovu spent the night together..." I interrupted him

"what?"

"Dad, we only spent the night together because after we ate, I was feeling so nauseous that I couldn't walk."

"Yeah? Then why didn't Kovu carry you? Has he suddenly lost his strength?!"

"I just didn't carry her because when she pressed on her belly, the pain increased even more. I didn't want to expose her to that kind of suffering, so we slept there."

"Why didn't you at least come to warn us? We were so worried." asked Kovu's mother

"I couldn't leave her alone outside in the middle of the night!"

Father looked convinced but then ordered someone to call Rafiki. He stated that the pain that I described was not normal.

Rafiki arrived shortly afterwards. He inspected me and said he couldn't detect anything and that the pain I felt probably came from something I ate.

"What did you and Kovu eat yesterday?" asked Rafiki

"Wildebeest"

"Try to avoid eating that for the next few days. Your stomach might not have reacted in the best way to that food, so let's avoid it." I nodded, and he went to talk to my parents.

I'm glad this worked out! I must then thank Tifu, Akili, and Gamba, without whom Kovu and I would no longer be together.

KOVU'S POV:

Kiara was being inspected by Rafiki. I decided to leave to give her some privacy. When I came out, I saw that my whole family was there. Everyone was talking, except my father. He was looking quite angry. He started walking towards me.

"Listen, her parents may have fallen for that excuse, but I haven't. I know perfectly well that your brothers made it up. What they'll forget is that they've already used it on us. I'm not going to turn you in, but let this be a warning. If you ever spend another night with her doing what you know, I'll be the first to tell Simba. Be mad at me if you want, but you're not going to ruin Kiara's reputation just because you two want to have fun. You can do that for the rest of the day, but I want you home shortly after sunset. Is that clear?" I nodded.

Well, everything didn't work out 100% after all, but at least Kiara and I will be together. My dad's right, I have to be more careful. I can't make her look like a whore who only fucks her boyfriend and doesn't care about anything else.
