farrah
on my way!

she was so cute, it makes me happy she's excited about my music too, since it's so important to me. i hope she loved it too. i'd been working on a new project called hellboy. i had a really good feeling about it, i think it might finally be the one that pushes me over the awkward ledge i was sitting on between soundcloud nobody and a real artist.

my alarm buzzed to let me know farrah had arrived and was waiting. "on my way down" i said i to the speaker.

i put on a pair of slides and grabbed my keys to go let her up.

"how are you?" i asked her, "well great duh, almost forgot. congrats on the new job that's great" i said, almost forgetting to ask her about the new job. i was just really excited to show her this album.

"thank you, i'm really excited for it. i talked to the promoter guy this morning, willow and i are going in for a meeting and to do all the paperwork on thursday" she was glowing talking about it.

"looks like we both have some big money coming our way" i joked. "i hope so" she laughed.

"come sit" i told her, letting her take the office chair at my desk. we'd recorded in a studio but i have a basic little set up in the apartment incase i was ever feeling inspired or wanted to change something.

"put these on" i gave her the giant headphones to put to listen.

"so the album itself is called hellboy" i told her, "i already know it's good" she said to me, bringing her legs up to sit criss cross on the chair.

"ooh, nice" i said, picking up the blunt id apparently rolled. "did you just forget about that?" farrah asked, "apparently" i shrugged, holding a lighter to the end. "you're an idiot" she smiled, shaking her head.

i motioned it towards her, offering her a smoke. she accepted, watching her blow out the smoke she was effortlessly beautiful.

"here we go" i told her, opening the files on my computer. i pressed play on hellboy, the title track.

now that she was actually here i was a little nervous, what if she thought it was bad?

she sat there smiling as the songs progressed, occasionally nodding along with the beat. i sat on the edge of the table beside her, watching her reactions.

we silently passed the blunt back and forth. right now this is what life was all about, my music and her. i knew i wanted her, i had to have her. i wanted her just as bad as i wanted to be famous. like real famous.

she'd reached the end of the last song, i took the headphones off for her. "so?" i asked, hoping to hear positive reviews.

"gus, you're so incredibly talented" she was beaming. "so you like it? it's good?" i asked her. "it's more than good, it's amazing" she smiled.

"well good, because the expected release date is in two days and i wanted you to hear it before then" i said with relief.

"my opinion matters that much?" she asked, seeming surprised. "of course it does" i said.

"i know it probably sounds like stupid and cocky but i think this really might be it for me. i've been doing well but i wanna be a big someday" i told her, hoping she didn't think my aspirations are too high.

"gus, i one hundred percent believe you will be. you're so talented but you're also so kind and genuine and have a beautiful soul, people like you don't come around very often" she said, placing a hand on my forearm.

her approval was really all i needed. her saying that meant more than if a thousand other people told me the same thing. "that really means a lot to me farrah, you don't even know" i said, was i about to cry?

i took a few seconds to breathe, hoping she didn't notice me getting emotional.

"did you wanna stay?" i asked her. "i'd love to but i work soon" she frowned.

"cant hate the grind, you wanna come over after?" i asked her. "i'd like that" she smiled.

"sounds good, i'll be here" i said. "i gotta head out but i'll see you later gus. and you're amazing, i love the album" she told me again.

i saw her to the door, i couldn't stop smiling even after she left. i was already falling for her, but i really can't tell if she feels the same way or if i'm just a friend to her. which is fine, but i had my heart set on her.
