As soon as class was dismissed Harry stormed out. "I'm sure it's nothing to worry about Harry." Hermione tried to comfort my brother putting her hand on his shoulder.

I was practically running to keep up with them, when Harry was mad he was also apparently very fast. Right before I caught up to Harry and his friends I was stopped by the one and only Draco Malfoy.

I let out a groan as he stepped in front of me. "You okay potter?" He asked sounding genuine. I looked around, trying to spot any of his goons lurking, none were to be found though.

"Uh, yeah I'm fine? Can you move now." Malfoy wouldn't budge standing still as a statue. "Well listen Potter, if you're worried about loosing your only family you have left you don't need to worry, that teachers a total loony. You would know all about that though."

I rolled my eyes, trying my very hardest to hold back my hand from reaching her my wand. "Listen, I don't need to be checked up on, especially not by you. Can you leave me alone so I can catch up to Harry?"

Draco smirked. He looked purely evil. He was purely evil. "Not until you say please." He was definitely challenging me. I let out a scoff. Before I could rebuttal I was cut off by Daphne.

"Oh Scar! We were looking everywhere for you!" I heard her say as she approached Draco and I. I turned giving her a smile. "Oh yeah, all good just wanted to let Malfoy know that I'll hex him if he tries to mess with my brother."

"Scarlett you really need to stop threatening people. It's your first day, you'll be gone before Christmas!" Theodore laughed as he stepped closer to the group of us now all lurking in the hall.

"Right well I better go check on my brother, he seemed a little tense." I turned on my heels. I was finally winning against Malfoy.

"Scarlett, our next class is in a few minutes and it's in the opposite way. I'm sorry but I think you'll have to wait until after Potions." Daphne informed me.

Right. So Malfoy was now winning. Daphne and Theo didn't know that, but Draco did.

Knowing Malfoy beat me, even if it wasn't truly beating me, ruined my ego. Since today was all about making promises to myself, I decided to make another.

I promised myself to never let Draco Malfoy beat me at anything ever again. No matter what that took.

Daphne and I made small talk as we walked to Potions. The classroom was all the way in the dungeons meaning we had to walk down all the stairs we just walked up.

Theodore was walking with his friend Blaise so it was just Daphne and I.

Walking with her by ourselves was a little different than with Theo. She asked me about Boys and what I thought about different people. It was more gossipy.

Before we made it to potions I was stopped by our roommate Pansy. "Can you stop flirting with my boyfriend?" She asked me.

I looked at Daphne with a raised eyebrow. Pansy had a rather pug like face. Sort of squished together and her bangs were cut pretty crooked. She looked average though, she must've been a bit mad though because I've met a total of eight people so far and I definitely haven't flirted with any of them. "Oh umm, maybe he didn't tell you but Draco and I are official now so you filthy half blood better keep your hands and eyes off of him." She stomped away.

"Right do that was normal." I laugh once she was far enough away she wouldn't hear me. Daphne giggled, "yeah, I suppose she's a little possessive. She grew up with Draco and their childhood friends. She always had it in her head that they were going to get married and become a rich and powerful wizarding family. The only issue is, he never really liked her."
