"Are you kidding me?" I groaned to the golden trio as we walked into defense against the dark arts the following day.

Snape was covering for Lupin. While he was the head professor of the Slytherin house, he didn't seem to like me much. He at least liked me more than my brother, although that honestly wasn't too much of a flex.

I took a seat next to Daphne and pulled out my book. "Turn to page 394" Snape instructed as he walked to the front of the room.

Werewolves? We weren't supposed to be covering these until after Christmas break.

"Can anyone tell me the difference between a werewolf and a true wolf?" He asked.

Of course Hermione raised her hand although Snape acted as if she was invisible, I suppose that wasn't new though.

Hermione interjected explaining the different even though Snape didn't call on her. She ended up loosing 30 points for Gryffindor through out the whole class.

Thank Merlin I'm a Slytherin.

"Two rolls of parchment on how to capture, kill, and recognize a werewolf are to be turned into me before Monday afternoon. Obviously you all are so far behind."

Everyone groaned and walked out of the class eager to leave. I on the other hand wasn't as excited. My next class was potions, this meant a whole other period back-to-back with Snape.

To make matters worse I was stuck still working with Malfoy who wanted nothing more than to kill me.

Theo was thinking solely about the Slytherin versus Ravenclaw Quidditch match which left Daphne and I to be on our own.

Theodore explained this morning that quidditch was all about the mindset and he needed to be alone to "figure out his game."

It's a little silly, but he truly loves quidditch so who are we to judge. Daphne and I ended up not so alone because Malfoy made fun of me the whole way to class.

What a jerk.

Today we were brewing a color changing potion. When combined with a spell, it could transform the item into a number of colors. Snape gave us a few items to color.

"Can we turn this spoon purple? It would look pretty." I asked as I measured out our basil leaves. Malfoy nodded his head, "sure, you can choose all the colors if you want, I truly don't care. Can we make one thing green though?" He asked turning back to the potion.

It was weird, Malfoy not bickering with me. How could he be so mean and then nice? Who gave him the right to be so rude?

"I think this plate is begging to be green." Malfoy commented picking up a octogonal shaped plate which made me giggle.

Did I seriously just giggle? At Draco Malfoy? I obviously needed more sleep.

"Yes and this bowl pink. A beautiful set if you ask me." I said as I placed some ingredients into the cauldron.

Malfoy and I continued the class in silence. Now that we've been potions partners for some time, we no longer bicker over who is measuring and cutting what. We just have an unsaid agreement he does the harder more precise cuts and I measure out all the liquids and easier ingredients.

I was actually getting better at potions too thanks to Malfoy. I may have hated him, but he was sort of a genius.

Once we colored each of our items we called over Snape.

"This is very good, you both have improved greatly, five points to Slytherin each." Snape said, a light smile forming on his face as he walked away.

I looked over at Malfoy with a large grin. In the heat of the moment I decided it was a good idea to slightly hit Malfoy's arm.
