Suddenly, Beerus and Whis appeared out of nowhere.
"Well if it isn't that blue rat I spared from destruction. This certainly is something." Beerus smirked. "Your strength is significant, hedgehog. You might even have surpassed Goku with this one transformation. Bravo." Beerus continued. "Oh.. Thanks lord Beerus." Sonic smirked and laughed. "I would like to put your strength to the ultimate test, hedgehog. I want you to fight me." Beerus ordered.
Goku was immediately taken aback. "Aw what?! How come he can fight you but I can't?! I'm worthy too ya know!" Goku pouted, but Beerus was quick to shut him up. "Because you're weak saiyan, so forget it. I've been watching this rodent for a while now, and it seems that he is a lot stronger than he seems. But now, this duel will determine if he is ready for the Tournament of Power." Beerus said.
"So, are you ready hedgehog?" Beerus said, cracking his neck and knuckles.
"Hmph. I was born ready." Sonic snickered, before charging Beerus with a punch that Beerus easily deflected. "Hm. How predictable."
Sonic grew angry at that remark. "Predictable? How's this for predictable!" He yelled, before sending a kick towards Beerus, which Beerus easily blocked, when suddenly Sonic had teleported behind Beerus, and then again teleported, which confused the God. Sonic immediately came crashing down on the destroyer, creating a crater.
"Awe... Not bad rodent." Beerus said, clearly injured from the attack.
"Yeah, I'm just full of surprises aren't I?" Sonic laughed.
"You sure are." Beerus said, suddenly appearing behind Sonic, delivering a blow that sent him flying into the air. Before Sonic could regain a sense of his surroundings however, Beerus again sent him flying back towards the ground with an incredible spike, creating an even bigger crater. Then, Beerus had attempted to kick Sonic into the ground, but due to the dust cloud, he was unable too. As the dust cleared, Sonic was nowhere to be found.
"Where have you gone, hedgehog?" Beerus said. "Don't tell me you give up already; I wasn't even trying!" The destroyer scoffed.
"Hedgehog: noun. Definition: A burrowing animal." Sonic said, before rising from the ground at breakneck speeds underneath Beerus, carrying him all the way to space in a matter of a few seconds.

"Hm. I can tell this isn't your first rodeo, Sonic. You've tangled with gods before." Beerus said, smirking at the hedgehog.
"Well, I'd be lying if I said I didn't. I've fought gods of time and space, a god that represented the literal evil of the world, and heck, I've even fought a chaotic being made of water."
"What a wide variety of villains, Sonic. But now, you're messing with real fire." Beerus said.
"I've fought worse. Come on kitty." Sonic taunted.
Beerus smiled, and teleported behind Sonic. Before the hedgehog had time to react, he was immediately sent flying with a punch to his head. Beerus wasn't done however, as he maneuvered behind Sonic again, kicking him further into space. "Let's test your reflexes, shall we?" Beerus said, before launching a hakai blast towards Sonic.
Sonic gathered himself quickly as the blast of destruction headed right for him. He quickly dodged it and charged towards Beerus again at such a speed that Beerus could not keep up. Sonic delivered a right hook to Beerus' gut, catching him off guard as he groaned and keeled over for a moment. Sonic then sent a knee into Beerus' snout, forcing his head back up, blood leaking from his nose. Then, Sonic began a flurry of jabs to the destroyer at such speeds that it looked like there were phantom versions of Sonic assisting him. Then, in one swift motion, Sonic delivered a kick to the god that sent him flying away, with Sonic giving chase.
"I'm not done with you yet, Beerus!" Sonic exclaimed, charging Beerus at his max speed, hitting Beerus with his fist as they continued to travel faster than the speed of light. Sonic travelled around Universe 7, punching, and kicking Beerus all throughout. He then ended up back on earth, with his intent to finish Beerus nonlethally, with a crash into the moon. Sonic had simply let go of Beerus at the perfect moment, and with a WHAM he had almost split the moon in half. But Sonic wasn't finished yet.
"You want a taste of my power, Beerus? Then here you go.." Sonic said as he focused energy into his palms. "This won't kill you, but you now know a fraction of my power, and the power of the Chaos Emeralds..."

"HYAAAAAA!"
Sonic exclaimed as the ball of energy that had formed in his hands suddenly released towards Beerus. Completely decimating the moon as Beerus was simply nowhere to be seen. Sonic began to sit still and breathe heavily as he slowly began making his way down to earth.
Those who watched through Whis' staff were completely shocked. Did Sonic defeat Beerus? That easily?! They couldn't believe it. Then suddenly, Beerus simply showed up next to Whis.
"Well I hope Sonic was able to get what he wanted, because I know I sure did." He smiled. Although he technically lost, there was nothing he could do. He now knew that Sonic was capable of dishing out immense power, and simply wanted a test of it.
Sonic touched down on the surface of the earth in front of everyone, and powered down to his normal base state. "Well... Hah.... How was that..?" Sonic said, gasping for air. "Not bad hedgehog." Beerus said. "Though you could've done without the destroying of this planet's satellite. I might have to destroy you for doing that." Beerus joked. "Wha?! How did you get here so fast?!" Sonic was shocked at Beerus' sudden arrival. "You didn't think I was going all out back then did you? That wasn't even close to 90% of my true power. I simply came back here when you thought I was still on the moon. Those energy blasts are very blinding you know." The god winked.
"Wow Sonic.. That was incredible! I didn't know you could shoot energy from your hands too! Hey- I GOTTA show you this cool trick that I was taught." Goku said excitedly. "Oh? What trick?" Sonic asked. "It's called the Kamehameha. I was taught it when I was younger. You might need it during the tournament." Goku chuckled. "Here, first you create a ball of energy in your hands, and as you do you say: Ka....me.....ha....me..." Goku started, with Sonic copying his move. "Then, when you release, you have your palms completely straight, and your fingers shut to their knuckles- and you gotta say 'HAAAAA' when you do it. K?"
"Hmph. Sounds easy enough. Thanks Goku." Sonic smirked.
"Well, now that all of that is taken care of. It's time for you all to get some rest. You're going to need it since the tournament is in a few hours. Come along Whis, let's get something to eat." Beerus ordered. "Yes, my lord." Whis agreed as the two went with Bulma to eat out.
"You know Lord Beerus, Sonic almost had you beat there." Whis snickered. "Don't you even say that no he did not!" Beerus barked back. "Only joking my lord." Whis laughed. "Nevertheless, I sense there is more power in that hedgehog... perhaps it would be in our best interest to keep him on our good side." Whis continued. "Yes, lets." Beerus said, before he began stuffing his face.
