Despite Goku being caught in his own Spirit Bomb, he continued to push, increasing the size and mass of the ball of energy by three times. The two continued to struggle, with Whis admitting that Goku had reached his extent of his power, with Jiren being far from reaching his full power.
Using his unbeatable mental strength, Jiren transformed Goku's Spirit Bomb into a black hole, much to the displeasure of Beerus. Gohan screamed out for his dad, but Goku was unresponsive, completely overwhelmed by the power of the black hole. Suddenly, an explosion occurred, causing a gigantic crater. As the smoke subsided, Gohan looked on, his father nowhere to be seen.

Unable to sense his father's energy, Gohan had thought the worst. His face of pure shock.

"N-No... It can't be!" The Supreme Kai said. "He hasn't warped to the bench... he must still be down there, right?" Krillin said, his voice trembling, fearing for his best friend. "I don't know. I don't sense his energy anywhere in the ring.." Tien responded. "G-Goku was in the middle of that massive explosion. I'm afraid he may have been obliterated!" Master Roshi said, almost being brought to tears. Beerus was completely unresponsive. Fear overtook him as his best fighter was just obliterated.
"G-Goku...?" A voice called out. Suddenly, a blue beam sped towards the center of the crater. "Goku.. No.." Sonic said, collapsing onto the ground. "You can't be finished.. Please.."
