Goku leapt back as he readied himself for an attack from the ninth universe. "Just give up Goku. You have no chance of winning." Bergamo suggested, laughing with his buddies. "Yeah, we'll just see about that." Goku said confidently.
Vegeta was facing an onslaught of attacks from Lavender as he pushed him ever so closer to the edge of the arena. Then, his arm was frozen in place from an ice monster, Hyssop. Vegeta stood still as Lavender and Hop charged at him from both sides. Noticing an opening, Vegeta moved out of the way, resulting in Hop scratching Lavender. This caused a disruption in the offensive wall against Goku, who using it to his advantage, immediately went Super Saiyan, charging at Chappil and Comfrey and launching a ki blast that knocked them both out of the arena, eliminating them.
Vegeta launched a counter attack against Hop, catching her off guard as he sent her flying into the air with a well placed kick, before spiking her back down at an angle, sending her out of the arena. It impressed the Grand Zenos, who expressed their wows. Vegeta was then gripped by a web-like substance from Oregano, a red fighter from the ninth universe, who was accompanied by Hyssop.

Oregano became overconfident, laughing at Vegeta until he turned Super Saiyan as well.

As the saiyan prince turned Super Saiyan, he managed to discard the webbing and ice that was on his arms prior, now charging at Hyssop, and engaging in a flurry of attacks. Vegeta struck Hyssop in the gut, and sent a large blast of energy into him, which was enough to eliminate both Hyssop and Oregano from the competition.
With that, there were two contestants from the ninth universe remaining: Bergamo, and Lavender. Goku and Vegeta teamed up to corner the duo, who simply stood no chance when the saiyans were in their Super Saiyan form.
