Sonic and Goku : Two Worlds Collide!

[CHAPTER 4: A Spar For The Ages! Sonic vs Goku!]

The duo sat in their respective battle stances, both sizing each other up. Sonic knew he had the speed advantage, and so it would be wise for him to start on the offense.

"Try and keep up." Sonic said, smirking as he launched forward at beyond breakneck speeds, connecting with Goku immediately, sending him flying. "WOAH!" Goku said as he began to fly forward. He sensed that Sonic was easily keeping up with him, and as he maneuvered himself to face towards the ground, he noticed Sonic running backwards. "Didn't expect this did ya? I told you I was fast." Sonic chuckled.

"Not bad Sonic." Goku smiled. "Now it's my turn." Suddenly, Goku teleported behind Sonic, which caught him off guard. "Wha-" Goku stopped Sonic in his tracks, before sending him flying with a kick in the back. Sonic was quick to recover as he began rolling into a spin-dash, before returning to running. Goku immediately gave chase as the two began exchanging blows. However, Sonic's pure speed was able to defend and dish out more than what Goku could defend himself against in base form.

Slowly the brief spar came to an end as Goku stared on.

"Not bad Sonic, but let's see what you can do against a Super Saiyan." Goku smirked. Suddenly, Goku spread his legs and squatted down as his ki began to rise dramatically. In but a few short moments, his hair had moved upwards, and became a yellowish color, much like Super Sonic. His eyes changed color, and his power had changed dramatically.

"Woah... You can... Huh?!" Sonic was shocked, and confused. "How can you go super? Does a version of the Chaos Emeralds exist in this universe?" He asked. "Chaos Emeralds.... Sorry, I don't think I've heard of those.. ever. What are they?" Goku questioned. "Right... The Chaos Emeralds are these 7 jewels that when collected, can give the user immense power." Sonic stated. Goku sat for a moment. 7 items that when all in one place, can give someone power? "Hm.. It sounds a lot like the dragon balls. When this is over, I can take you to them." Goku said confidently. "Thanks, Goku." Sonic smirked.

Immediately afterwards, Sonic leapt forward towards Goku, charging at him with a right hook, which Goku blocked with his forearm. "Not bad, Sonic. But I'm better." Goku said, attempting to counter with a right hook of his own, but Sonic's reflexes were mighty. He quickly dashed up over Goku, using his head as a step-stool, before dropping down, and launching a homing attack towards Goku, before sweeping his legs and knocking him onto the ground, without breaking a sweat. "Now that I know I got something to look forward to that can take me home... I'm not gonna hold back so much."

Goku laughed as he rose back up. "You're clever, you know that? Hell, you might even have me beat in this state. If it wasn't for lord Beerus hounding me on not getting hurt, I might even show you my full potential.. But still.. That was good Sonic. It's clear that as rusty as you are, you're a great fighter." Goku smiled. "Thanks Goku. Alright well, it won't do us any good if we're just standing here. I need to get those dragon balls."

"Right." Goku nodded, before grabbing Sonic's hand and using instant-transmission to appear before Bulma. "Hey Bulma! It's been a few minutes!" Goku waved. "Hasn't been long enough if you ask me.." Bulma mocked sassily. "What is it, Goku?" She continued. "Well... can I use the dragon balls? Pleaaaaaseeee!" Goku begged. "What? No- Why?!" Bulma exclaimed. "Well, Sonic thinks he can use it to transform. Please- it's for the universe!" Goku pleaded. ".....Fine. But you owe me big time for this, Goku." Bulma scoffed. "Thanks Bulma!" Goku celebrated, before taking Sonic to collect the dragon balls.

After all 7 dragon balls were collected, Goku began to speak.

"Eternal Shenron. By your name I summon you forth!"
