Sonic watched as the ninth universe was eliminated. He didn't realize that this was what was at stake. Although Sonic knew that if he wanted to return home to his friends, he'd HAVE to continue to fight, he felt incredibly guilty that he was partially responsible for the destruction of sextillions of people.

"N-No way.." Sonic said. Slowly, he became deep in thought. "I'm sorry, ninth universe." Sonic thought to himself. "I can't hold back anymore. Not while I know what's at stake." Sonic thought of Tails. Tails would know exactly what to do in this situation. Tails always knows what to do. Sonic slowly began to break down, but knew he had to remain strong, lest the seventh meet the same fate.

Cabba, Caulifla, and Kale turned to Sonic, sensing an extreme boost in energy.
"H-Hey! Are you okay?" Cabba asked Sonic. Sonic said nothing, instead glaring at Cabba.
"I'm finishing this. See ya." Sonic said, blasting off, locating the nearest opponent, and engaging them at such an incredible speed.
"Oh, would you look at that lord Beerus." Whis said. "It seems Sonic is finally getting his stuff together now that he realizes what's at stake."
