" Don't move. " Aarna scolds me very badly this time.
" I didn't move this time. " I say.
" Chup." She says again putting God knows what on my face.
" I love you Aaru," Maa says on the video call.
" Love you too Aunty." She says talking so kindly with my mother but here she is scolding me.
" I always thought she would remain Jhalli forever, I never liked those loose t-shirts. I might not be aware of the current clothing fashion but I must say it's horrible. Women should dress elegantly. " Maa says, jumping on the very moment she gets to have a conversation with Aarna.
Whatever the conversation is I am the target of it. Directly or indirectly.
" I agree with you Aunty. Dress and Indian wear specifically can never go out of trend. And they always look so elegant and classy. " She says.
" Thank God you are with her to get her ready otherwise ye to yu hi muh utha ke chali jati," Maa says and I glare at her. Both of them giggle like two gossip girls. (She would have gone just like that.)
" Ho gaya dono ka." I say. ( Are you both done.)
" You both get ready I will be back after some time. Before you both leave. " Maa says and the screen goes blank.
" Now look here," Aarna says.
" Don't you think you are being too harsh on me?" I say.
" If I am not strict with you, you will spoil the entire makeup. Patience isn't a word you are aware of. Now close your eyes." She says and I let out a huff closing my eyes.
I need everything to be perfect today.
In the next few minutes, I don't know if she applies what is on my face.
" I can hardly see the difference. " I say looking at the small mirror as I tease her. Whatever she had done it's million time better than I could ever do. That to with do much perfection.
" That's because I have kept it natural. Look carefully at your eyes, jaw and cheeks. I don't think I need to mention lips. And dare if you kissed Madhav and spoiled the lips stick. This isn't kiss-proof." She says keeping a hand on her waist.
