Dear Gentle Readers

I know I am late. My cousin was at home and I just wasn't able to write with a clingy person around.

Anyway this is I think the second most toughest chapter. I was kind of nervous writing it. Coz both Madhav and Meera are a challenging character for me.

Hope you like it. ( 6.1K + words)

Happy Reading

"Madhav. " I try to scold him in a joking way. But in reality, my heart started beating loudly, and I froze for a minute, trying to school my emotions as soon as I heard his words.

He shakes his head. Coming back to the present. " I am sorry. I sometimes do babble nonsense." He says not looking at me.

Thank God. My mind Said while my heart regretted his words.

" I don't like swimsuits or bikinis it shows the burn marks. " I say being honest. I can be vulnerable around him. It's easy to tell him anything.

" You don't need a swimsuit. You wanna swim. You can swim in whatever the heck you want. No one's going to question you or say anything. If they do I am going to beat the shit out of them." He says now slowly lifting up his eyes back to. My face.

" Scars can be beautiful. They define you. It has made you who you are today strong and fearless. " He says with a gentle tone.

" Don't you want to swim?" I ask holding his wrist to change the topic. I can feel his pulse under my finger.

" You want me to." He asks, removing my hand from his wrist and holding my hand.

I free my hand and climb down the steps of the pool without taking my eyes off him. Stopping when the water reaches my knee.

" You are testing my patience. " He whispers. His Adam's apple bobbing as he crosses his arms. I can't decipher the emotions on his face. It looks like he might just turn around and leave or jump inside the pool any second.

" Don't you want to come?" I ask removing the strands from my face.

" You'll be the death of me." He says, going back to the sun lounge and lying down when, looking up at the sky, placing his hands behind his head.

" It's okay if you don't want to stay," I whisper. No matter how badly I want to be with him all the damn time, it should be his wish also.

" You think I don't want to be with you." He says in a low voice that startle me.

" I know you do," I say. We love each other and nothing and no one can change that.

I thought we would swim and have a good time. He makes me laugh; with him, I feel alive and enjoy every moment. So I thought maybe we could do the same. I wanted to make him happy. Make him laugh like he does. But his expressions tell an entirely different story.
