"Hello, Aarna. " I say picking up her call. There were a few missed calls from her.
" Hey, Madhav. I tried to find you but couldn't. " She says taking a pause.
" What happened? I am on the front lawn. " I say, looking at Rudra and Veer, who are listening to my conversation like they will gossip about it.
" Let me finish first. Meera and Shivanya are near the swing. Please...... on them. I think they do....... .... of Thandai." She says but I can't hear clearly because of the announcement behind her.
"Okay," I say with a frown. " And where are you?" I ask.
" I need to catch my flight. Okay, take care of her." She says hanging up as I hear the commotion behind her.
" What happened? " Veer asks.
" Is everything all right ?" Rudra asks.
" I don't know. Aarna left. She had a flight to catch, but she told her to keep a check on Meera and Shivi. I didn't hear it clearly. She was at the airport. " I tell them.
" Airport?" Veer ask. " There is no flight for Mumbai right now." He says.
" That's not the problem. She can go anywhere. " I say. I refuse to keep a check on Aarna. Why would I unless she is in some danger? Which I know she isn't. She could be going anywhere and it's her life. And I don't just invade anyone's privacy specifically when I know I need her on my side in case she tells me more about Meera.
There is an unspoken pact between us.
" I think it's time. I'll call Shivanya so we can leave. " Rudra says taking out his phone.
" You don't need to call they both are near the swing. " I say. Leaving Veer behind, we both cross the lawn, stopping to greet the guests.
" Where are they." He asks, patting his torso to get rid of the gulal.
I don't see them anywhere, but Aarna did tell me they are here. On the swing, four huge glasses are kept empty, and three plates of what I think were sweets are kept.
" Looks like someone had a private party here," Rudra says keeping the plates on top of one another. The crumbles and sugar syrup from the gulab jamun are on the swing. This area was prohibited, and I don't think it's Meera or Shivi. Because someone ate like animals, not humans.
" Call Shivi," I say to Rudra as I call Meera.
" Here phone is here." He says, picking up her phone and hearing Shivi's ring tone. Near her phone, I see Meera's phone.
