THE NEXT MORNING WAS A slow start for the teens residing in the summer house. It was around nine am when the first of them woke up and made their way into the kitchen.

Jeremiah had woken up in Theo's bedroom with hazy memories from the end of last night.

He remembered their game of beer pong, Rory not feeling well and in Conrad's car, he remembered Sophie driving him and the others home and getting him up the stairs.

When he stumbled over to his room he found Conrad passed out on his bad, and he tried to figure out why he would be there instead of his room.

On his way to the bathroom he checked his big brother's room to find Rory snuggled up into his pillows and blankets, a bottle of pills and a glass of water sitting on the bedside table.

He smiled to himself, before leaving the room so that Rory could continue resting and made his way to the shower.

Once he felt ready for the day, he grabbed a bowl of cereal and was now leaning on the kitchen counter, scrolling through pictures of last night on his phone.

Belly was next, bounding down the steps into the kitchen in a flowy summer dress.

Jeremiah tried not to stare, but he had the urge to compliment her as soon as she entered the kitchen.

"Morning Bells."

"Hey, Jere." She seemed distracted, he noticed and she was quiet for a while until she suggested, "Do you wanna get out of here for a little bit? I just need to not be in the house right now."

Jeremiah didn't think too much about her request and nodded, "Sure, let me finish up, could you grab the keys from Theo's room?"

"Why are your keys in his room?" She asked.

"Oh, Sophie helped me up last night, but she put me in the wrong room." Jeremiah figured, "He wasn't in there anyway so I just crashed on his bed."

"Oh?"

Jeremiah tried to study her reaction, "Yeah, I think he stayed the night at Ellie's."

"Cool." Belly nodded, trying not to frown at the thoughts in her head, "Where did you keep them?"

"Uh, they should be on his dresser? Maybe?"

Belly nodded and made her way back up the stairs, passing a sleepy Conrad emerging from Jeremiah's room and making his way over to the boy's bathroom.

"Morning Con."

"Hey, Bells."

Belly offered him a smile before she walked to the end of the hallway to Theo's room, next to Steven's.

She pushed the door open and entered the room timidly in an attempt not to disturb Theo's space.

She walked straight to the dresser, trying not to let her eyes wander as she looked for Jeremiah's keys; however, she was distracted by all the pictures he had framed in the room.

Theo's room had been painted a dark shade of blue with white borders around the door and window frames.

Everything was incredibly tidy, stored away strategically around his room, other than his bed, in which the covers were messily thrown atop the pillows, untucked.

Belly figured that was Jeremiah's doing. She had half the mind to pull back the cover and fix Theo's bed for him but she shook her head to rid her of the thought and turned back to the dresser.
