When the three of you arrived at the estate, you were informed that everyone had yet to wake up but that they all would pull through their injuries perfectly fine. Mitsuri and Iguro only stuck around for a little while after that before they had to leave, and you decided to go to bed as well to pass time until the others wake up from their injuries. Apparently you exhausted more energy than you thought as you stay asleep until mid afternoon the next day.

As soon as you get dressed in some comfortable clothes and your glasses you head off to visit Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu. You find them in their usual room, Tanjiro confined to the bed while the other two sit next to him while they all chat. As soon as you open the door they all quiet down and turn to look at you. There's a pause before everyone starts yelling and it takes you a moment to understand what they're saying.

Zenitsu cries about how you randomly disappeared and how he had worried all night about you despite you being completely uninjured. Inosuke mostly yelled about how strong you are, saying that only someone who is his friend can be that strong. Tanjiro, on the other hand, isn't yelling at all but happily smiling, glad that you're alright.

"How are your injuries?" You question once everyone quiets down.

"Kocho said that we'll all heal up in no time at all." Tanjiro explains, gently resting his hand on his stomach where he was stabbed.

"Of course!" Inosuke huffs air through the nostrils of his mask as he proudly places his hands on his hips. "We're the strongest, right? Nothing can take us down!"

"Idiot!" Zenitsu instantly yells at him. "We're not strong at all! The only one here who is strong is (Y/N)!" His words only piss off Inosuke, leading to the two of them yelling at each other.

Laughing, you side step past them and walk over to Tanjiro. "They seem rather lively."

"I think we're all just relieved everything turned out alright." Tanjiro sighs, watching his two friends bickering. "I was really worried for Rengoku for a while there. Thank you for helping him."

"There's no need to thank me." You wave your hand, dismissing the notion. "I will however accept daifuku!"

Tanjiro chuckles softly. "You know, you said the same thing when we first met." You think back to that time all those months ago when you met him in Asakusa. He had nearly run into you and tried apologizing but you told him to buy you daifuku instead. You didn't even realize that much time had passed. The last time you stuck around someone this long was when you first met Tamayo.

"Food is the best way to a girls heart, you know." You hold up a finger as if stating a fact. You don't actually know if food works on every girl, but everyone who ever gave you food was deemed alright in your book. You're sure Mitsuri probably feels the same way.

"Have you visited Rengoku yet?" Tanjiro questions, changing the topic of conversation to avoid flustering himself.

"Not yet." You shake your head, looking away from Tanjiro and out the window. You've honestly been putting it off a bit since you don't really know him that well. You've never even had a conversation with him. Plus, the last time you saw him you basically told him you wouldn't forgive him until Tanjiro did. And if your memories from the train serve you right then Tanjiro never held a grudge against him in the first place.

"I heard he's been asking about you." Tanjiro admits, having heard the young butterfly girls talking about it. "You should go visit him. I'm sure he'll be happy to see you."

You grumble quietly to yourself before agreeing, saying goodbye to everyone before exiting the room. Walking down the halls, you take your time in searching for his room. As you walk you run into Kocho who seems to be heading back to her office from somewhere.

"Ah, (Y/N)." Kocho greets you as you both approach each other. "I was wondering where you've been."

"Did you need something?" You tilt your head curiously.

"I just wanted to thank you for saving Rengoku. I know you weren't very happy with him or some of the others at the Hashira meeting, so I'm glad to see that you were able to set aside your differences to help him." She smiles, though you can tell there's no real emotion behind it.

"There's no need to thank me." You wave your hand dismissively. "I would save any of you, even that Shinazugawa guy." You can't help but to curl your lip in slight disgust at his name before allowing your features to return to their relaxed state.

If Kocho noticed, she doesn't say anything. "Well, thank you anyways. He likely wouldn't be here if it weren't for you. If you want to go see him, his room is at the end of the next hallway on the left." She motions behind her towards the direction she just came from. She probably just got done giving him a check up.

The two of you go your separate ways after that. You watch her disappear down the hall before turning and heading in the direction she told you. It isn't hard to find his room as you can hear his faint yells as he eats his dinner. Standing outside the door, you hesitate, unsure if you should bother him while he's eating. You don't get much of a chance to make a choice as it's soon made for you.

"Come in and join me!" His voice rings out from inside the door, and you're a bit surprised he sensed you. Shaking the shock away, you reach forward and slide open the door, ready to get this entire thing over with.
