Chapter 14 (Late at night)

''Thank you Ryan for coming here. Sorry to bother you this late.'' 

''It's nothing. I too used to bother you many time in the past. I am just simply repaying it back.''  Reply Ryan while tapping the report on his computer.  After he had dinner suddenly he received a call from Derek asking for his help and here he are at the hospital.

          After a few hours, the work are finally done. The clock already shows 3:43 in the morning. It took quite a time to finish the report.

''How was your life now after the marriage?''  Suddenly Derek's voice was heard.

''Hmm? Ah, so far so good. It was nice having someone at home waiting for me after going back from work.''

''Good to hear that. You deserve to be happy now since... Ah...''  Derek's sentence hanging at the end.

          Hearing that Ryan smiled a little. Ryan know what Derek means. Since that moment from the past, he felt like his world has crumble and destroyed into million pieces. It takes alot of effort not lose himself.

''Since he passed away?'' Asked Ryan in a low voice.

''.. I.... I..''  Derek feel like he want to slap his loose mouth.

''To be honest, till this moment I still couldn't accept the fact that he already gone. I could still feel his presence sometimes. He was still here.'' Ryan pointed at his heart. As long as his heart still pounding, that person will always stay in his heart.

''I am still holding onto him. Till this day I am still waiting for the day for us to reunited. Call me delusional, but to me he still alive. If not here, then in the next life I was hoping to meet him again.'' Says Ryan as he smiled. But Derek can see it was a painful smiled. He thought that Ryan already move on. Ever since he hear the news that Ryan got married, he thought that Ryan finally found his happiness again. It never accour to him that Ryan was still holding to this person.

Ryan then stand up to exit the room after letting out whats in his heart a little.

''Do you still love him?'' Derek finally ask whats he always want to ask.

''Love? He was my world, how could I not? Me still breathing at this moment are all for the promised between me and him.''  With that, Ryan walk out from the room.

''I'm sorry. It was never my intention to hide it from you.''  Derek rub his face. The promise he make with that person almost kill him inside. He should never agree to him. If Ryan know about the other truth, it might cost their friendship.

Unknowing to them, someone already overheard their conversation. The moment Ryan walk out, the shadow was also gone.

Arriving late, Ryan head straight to glass garden. His heart felt a little bit heavy. Slowly he drag his feet to the bench inside the Glass Garden. Sitting down, he stare around. This place used to be that person dreams's place. They always talk about their future just for fun while laughing with their silly jokes. But now this place became the place for him to recall past memories.

''Love. How was your day? Me? I'm doing just fine. You know, recently I met Mr.Derek. He was still the same. He also remember you. See, many zerg still remember you not just me. You must be too nice that other still remember you even some time already passed. Hahaha.'' Ryan chuckle as he keep chatting. His chuckle soon turn into a sob.

''I... I miss you love. I miss you so much that it hurts here.'' Ryan clenching his shirt to his chest. 

''Why? Why?'' Ryan keep muttering 'why'. He himself don't really know what 'why' was referring to. Is it 'why did you leave me so early on?' or 'why can't I accept that you already gone?'. Indeed, he was still alive but more than half of him already dead long ago. Before, he keep denying the fact that his 'world' already gone. How could he accept it? How could he accept that their future already ended before it even started? The person he swore to be with for the rest of his life leave him alone. Everytime he dreams about that person, it turn into nightmare. He see that person's back. No matter how hard he scream, how hard he beg, that person won't come to him.

''Is it too much if I ask you to come back? Hmm, love?  Everyday was a torture for me to continue living knowing you were not here.'' Soon only Ryan's sob was heard through the quiet night in the Glass Garden.

          Damian slowly walk inside the Glass Garden until he was infront of Ryan. He then kneel down while staring at Ryan's face who already fall asleep after crying. He rub the corner of Ryan's eyes. It was red due to crying so much. He heard everything that Ryan talk by himself. Even from the hospital too. He then follow Ryan to this Glass Garden. He didn't mean to eavesdrop. At first he decided to pick Ryan up since it was already late but the moment he arrived outside of Ryan's office, he heard Ryan's conversation with Derek. Finally it lead him to hear Ryan's crying alone here. He could only force himself to stay still while hearing Ryan breakdown. Eventhough he don't know the whole story but he could still grasp the key point of the whole thing he heard. This male's soul infront of him are broken.

''You must love him so much. For you to be this way, he must be an amazing zerg.'' Damian then turn his body to face the big tree behind him.

''If it's okay with you, from today onward I will take the responsibility in taking care of him for you. Worry not, I will never take your place as you was special in his life. I just ask for a tiny corner in his heart for us four. Thank you for coming into his life. Now please, you can rest properly as he will be taken care of.''  With that being said, Damian pick Ryan up.  Unknown to him, there some kind of wind that respond to him. 'Thank you'.
