Chapter 75: Hawks

Momo was positioned on top of the hill, hiding in some bushes so as to mask her presence, looking down the sights of a sniper rifle she had created. Rubber bullets were being used so as to be non fatal, but still strong enough to pack one hell of a punch to any sucker unlucky enough to be hit by her. Of course, a regular rubber bullet wouldn't withstand the firepower of a sniper rifle, so Momo had made a few adjustments to its molecular structure so that it wouldn't simply disintegrate as soon as she pulled the trigger.

"Creati, see anyone down there?" Hawks asked over the ear piece. Yaoyarozu had also gone to the effort of making some illusive tech so that she could communicate with him directly, and with the amount of recon Hawks had done over the years, he was well used to having a voice in his ear feeding him intel. "Negative, I can only see through the windows that are high up, so my view isn't the best. They must be around ten meters high, so my field of view is skewed. Though I still have a decent view of the inside, so if the enemy is in position, I can take the shot."

Of course, their group didn't realise that there had been a switcheroo, they were expecting Momo to take a clean shot at Power Fist or Midas to take them out instantly and end the fight swiftly. However... Rubber bullets simply won't work against a man made of rubber. In this case... A real bullet may have done the trick. Kaiyo was a crafty one alright. "No worries, that just means they're dead centre or off to the side close to the windows, that's still good intel, thanks Creati. Keep an eye out and let me know if you see anything noteworthy. Try to stay hidden, I want this to be easy for us."

"Roger that." She replied, with Hawks stretching his arms side to side. "Yo Edgeshot, Creati hasn't got an angle on them, think you can sneak in and grab their exact location?" The now number one hero asked. "Understood, I'll make my way over and come back shortly." He said, making his way over to the warehouse and using Foldabody to get under the massive reinforced doors. After a couple of minutes of waiting, he returned.

"There's... No one inside." He said. "We didn't make a mistake, did we?" Kodai asked, with Kamui Woods saying, "No, that's impossible! Edgeshot himself saw them in this very warehouse just a couple of days ago! Unless someone leaked information to us, and they made a run for it..." Though Uraraka meekly disagreed with this, by interjecting, "I don't think they would turn tail and run... With what we know about Kaiyo, she's super aggressive and has a strong sense of pride in her and her gang, they'd hold their ground I'm sure of it!"

"I agree with this little lady," Hawks said, "They must be hiding somewhere around. They're waiting for us, that's the simple truth. I guess there's a slight change of plans, cuz we're going in and letting them take the first shot. When we go in, we're gonna simply investigate like we're not expecting them. They'll launch whatever spring attack they've got going on and beat em at their own game. Everyone cool with that?"

Everyone agreed, and they began making their way over, with Hawks informing Momo of what their new plan was. "Very well, I will continue to monitor the situation from up here. If you believe you may need any other items, please let me know and I will make them and inform you when they are ready." She replied, with Hawks telling her he'd pick it up with a feather if needs be.

"Wait, let me take the lead. When we open the door, I'll draw them out with a good old shout." Present Mic said, which Hawks happily obliged to. Shishida and Kamui Woods struggled with the door, with Present Mic letting out a sound wave attack by screaming into the warehouse. Edgeshot wasn't kidding when he said it was empty, there was literally nothing inside. Just some lights, which were now broken, and some beams to help with general structural support.

"Where could they be?" Shishida asked, with Kaminari saying, "Man, this is getting spooky... I feel like they're gonna just jump out and attack us at any moment!" Everyone began filing inside the building one by one. As they entered the building and were mostly of out Momo's sight, apart from a few who were standing to the side a little, she asked, "What's the story?"
