Chapter 34

Ashton's POV***

I am so happy to be cooking at home with my love by my side. It just means that we don't have to hurry home after dinner to make love. And we will be making love after dinner! I have been thinking about how domestic we have gotten lately. We are never apart for a meal or workout now. I feel how much he loves me with his every gesture.

I hope that he can feel my love too. I will cook every meal and do his laundry, if that is what it takes to prove my love. But I also feel that we are both missing Max. I pray that even if he doesn't want me anymore, that he will get the help that he so desperately needs. I will of course help him any way that I can. I just have to wait on his call. In the meantime, I will be happy with Thane.

I am almost disappointed when Jax shows up for dinner. Only because he brings HER with him. Every time she rolls her eyes, I want to slap them back around. She doesn't care for us. At all and barely keeps herself in check around us. I think that it may have something to do that her family is criminal defense attorneys and our family put criminals away. It doesn't matter if it is in the grave or jail or prison. The fact that she is around cops when she is here may have a lot to do with the disdain she has towards us. But she knows what we are and still comes here with Jax. We would be so much happier if she were to stay in North Dakota. Thank God I don't have to deal with her on a more regular basis. Lord help her if I did!

When Jax asked for my opinion, he knew that I would never lie to him to save his feelings. He has always said that putting the bad guys in prison was a noble occupation and that our family has that covered already. That Kaylee, Alex, Logan, and Jaime, have the kids taken care of. That he wanted to make sure that the families are protected. So, he went to law school to achieve his dreams. Of course he has the total support of the family. Jax is a wonderful attorney. He laughs and says that when Heather retires, he will take over as family attorney. Heather says that there is enough Tuckers to keep them both busy.

 When Jax finally snapped at her and stood to leave, I just wanted to cheer him on! After they left, I knew that Jax may be back tonight. He likes to sleep here instead at mom and dad's house. He says that there are too many bodies there and no privacy whatsoever. He is right about that. No privacy to even use the restroom. But I would add that it is noisy there too.

Thane and I clean the kitchen together. I look up at him when he doesn't respond to a question. He is staring at me with love and lust fighting for dominance in his eyes.

 I step to him and bring his head down for a kiss to say that I am always ready for his loving. Within a second I feel my back against the countertop of the island. My pants fall to the floor as I push his jeans down over his hips. I rip his shirt off over his head when he lifts his lips from mine. We are sucking in as much air as possible as Thane picks me up to sit on the island. He runs his big hands down my neck to my chest as he stares into my eyes. "You are mine for life, Thane! Good or bad. You are mine!"

His lips come back to mine as an answer that he is mine for life. He kisses me as if he can't get enough. When his lips leave mine again, he kisses down to my lower lips. I have only ever experienced this with Thane. And I love it! I let him have his way with my body. I soon loss all control of my senses. Thane lines himself up and sinks in as I try to recover from my orgasm. The feel of him so deep inside causes me to moan loudly. Within minutes I am screaming his name as we both experience the heart ringing orgasm. 

After a few more minutes, Thane pulls my limp body to meet his sweaty chest as he gets himself under control. "Are you ready for a shower, sweetheart?" Thane whispers in my ear. I nod my head and he chuckles as he lifts me into his arms.

We shower and make love slowly as we lay on the bed. Never bothering to pull the covers down. A while later I think about setting the alarm. I know that my phone is downstairs with Thane's too. I put on a robe and go to get the phones and set the alarm.
