We sit and talk until ten o'clock. "Well! I am going to bed. I have to work tomorrow." I stood and hugged everyone good night. "Good night, everyone. Sweet dreams!"
Thane had stood and followed my lead by hugging everyone. We went to our tent that Jax and River had set up for us today. We didn't say a word to each other and just kissed as he lays me on the air mattress. I pulled back enough to shut off the lantern. I don't want everyone to know that we are making love. Thane kissed me while he entered me. I moan quietly. Thane sped up as I pulled my leg around to his back. I lose my mind and try to moan louder. Thane's lips on mine cut me off. His body stiffened as he came.
We fall asleep wrapped in each other's arms. We slept like that until five o'clock when my alarm woke us up. We got up and took our shower together. Nobody was awake at this time. So, we didn't worry about getting caught. In truth, I didn't care if anyone saw us! We are both adults and engaged.
Thane decided that he was going to stay here and take it easy this week. I think that it is a good idea for him to get to know my family and friends.
"That sounds like a great idea to me. You deserve a vacation." I kissed him quickly. "Relax and have fun." I tell my man.
"And, ... I can find out where all of your skeletons are buried. I am positive that I can get River to tell me the good stuff!" Thane grins that sexy grin.
I laugh as I climb onto my bike. "I love you, my heart. Don't get too overwhelmed with all of the new information."
"I can handle it. I love you, sweetheart! Be safe out there." Thane tells me with another kiss and hug.
"I will, love. I will call as often as I can." I say then I crank my bike and rode away. I ride to a cafe and ordered breakfast to go. It just doesn't feel right to eat alone now. I am so used to eating with my family or Thane. I get to my office and eat at my desk while talking to the night desk clerk. I make the roll call duty roster. I see a couple of the officers enter a little early.
I carry my laptop to the call room. I set it up and got my stuff ready for the day. Jenkins came in and looked around as if looking for his audience. They weren't in here, so he left. Five minutes later, he enters again with a few more. They were laughing and gossiping. When one of them saw me, he nudged Jenkins. Jenkins smirked at me.
Here we go again. I thought to myself. He is working up himself a written write up. I will be more than happy to do that.
I hear Jenkins talk a little louder. "Yeah, she wasn't at home all freaking night!" He looks at me and continues. "Right, chief?"
"Who wasn't at home all night, Jenkins?" I asked to humor him and pulled him further into the discipline.
"You, of course!"
I took a deep breath before telling this idiot exactly where he is about to be. "Keep up this bullshit and you will be charged with stalking and unemployed. Is that understood? I saw your car parked in front of my neighbor's house.
He nods his head without another word. We got through the duty roster and everyone went to their vehicles.

Thane's POV***
After Ashton left, I lay back down on the air mattress and think about my life now. Last year, I didn't even think that I would be involved with a woman. Much less be engaged to such an amazing woman as Ashton Thomas.
When I bought the ring yesterday, I had never thought about David's ring still being on her left hand. But she didn't hesitate to change it to her right hand. I hope she isn't upset by having it there.
