Ashton's POV***
A week later and the idiots are still stalking my every move. The guys are in Souix City dealing with their parents again. They are trying to start trouble with the magazine and Marsha.
The idiots have tried breaking into my house while I was at work. Dad had met them at the door with a pistol and handcuffs. They didn't stay in jail very long before bailing out.
I get up on Sunday morning and look out of my bedroom window. I see that Owens is still parked half a block from my house. Just far enough not to violate the restraining order.
Well, I was going to work out. But that is over for a while. None of the uncles will be there for at least an hour. Then I think of it! I can go out through the alley, or...! I pick up my phone and call Martin.
"This had better be a damn good tragedy if anyone is calling me at six o' fucking clock in the morning!" His husky voice rumbled into my ear. "Or you will be the tragedy!"
"I don't need you to be uncle Martin right now. I need the governor." I tell him. I can tell that he is instantly wide awake. That is why I called him instead of dad or any other uncle. I needed someone who could be ruthless and not connected to me and the trio of trouble makers who are stalking me.
"What trouble do you have, babygirl?" He asked as he stood and started to get dressed.
"I have people who are stalking me, and I am tired of looking over my shoulder. Can you help me out governor?"
"I can. But you must tell me how you know that I was the governor? We kept all of that from you kids." He said suddenly realizing what I am calling him.
"You know that I love to research things when they are complex or don't make sense. Your connection to the Tuckers before Kaylee was questionable when you told me that I don't know you when we were in public. That stayed on my mind until I was a teenager. I know about the Congress and Crazy Horse Crew. So, are you going to help me, or do I do this by myself?" I asked him as I was about to leave without any help in this matter.
"Alright smart ass. Do you think that anyone is at the pit this early?" Martin asked.
"Nobody is there this weekend. I was thinking that I could lead the bastards there or the wells, and we spring a trap."
"That is what I was just thinking. And how do you know about the wells?"
I just laughed. "Never mind that right now."
Martin sighed into the phone. "I will make a phone call and be at the pit in thirty minutes. I will trap them behind the rec center. You will go somewhere that you will have witnesses for any alibi that you may need in the future."
"That sounds great! Thank you, uncle Martin! You are the most awesome man I know!"
"Meet you at the pit in forty minutes." Martin laughed and hung up his phone.
I wait about fifteen minutes then got into my Jeep and open the garage door. I acted like I didn't see Owens as I passed his car. I noticed that he was trying to be invisible as he was talking on the phone. I laughed after I pass him. He instantly cranked his car and made a U-turn to follow me. I make sure that he is still following me as I head north out of town. He is joined by Willis as I leave the town behind.
I place a call to Martin. "Yeah?"
"I will be turning onto the road in about one minute. Willis has joined the parade. You ready?"
"Ha! I was born ready, babygirl. Bring them to me. Let me teach them that they shouldn't mess with you in the first place." He hung up his phone once again. He is now the governor. Uncle Martin has left the world for a few hours."
