"Y/n. Are you sure you don't want to go tomorrow morning? It's getting late."

Y/n shook her head, already at the front door and slipping her shoes on. "I don't know how long they're staying there. There's still awhile until the last train departs. I'll make it."

Her mom sighed. "All right. Just promise me you'll be safe. It's already nighttime so make sure to be aware of your surroundings."

"Okay." Y/n straightened up. "Thank you, Mom."

"No need to thank me." She smiled and reached out both arms, waiting for a hug.

Y/n hugged her mom tightly before turning to the door and opening it. "I'll be back before you know it! Don't miss me too much!"

"I know." Her mom giggled. "And bring Tsukishima with you next time."

Y/n nodded, feeling her face warm from embarrassment. After stepping out and closing the door behind her, she immediately pulled out her phone, and opened the chat messages between Tsukishima and her. There was still no response from the other. She switched to the chat between Yamaguchi and her and pressed on the address he had provided.

"Two and a half hours from here. Jeez." She mumbled. Nonetheless, she was determined to see this through. By the time she'd make it there, it would be about 11 P.M. That was right before the last train departed so it worked out perfectly.

Well, aside from the fact that she was traveling by herself late at night. Moreover, she was going to where the Tsukishimas' were probably enjoying their family vacation time together and whatnot, and here she was, raining in on their parade. With them unaware of her coming late at night too.

She buried her face into her hands.

What was she thinking? There was so many things wrong with this. It was dangerous, rude, and way too sudden. But it was also too late to turn back, since her butt was currently sat on the seats of the moving subway.

Y/n opened the chat messages between Tsukishima and her once more.

She wondered if his battery really was dead, or if he'd ignored her. If it was the latter, she guessed she could understand on his part.

She turned off her phone, and as she stared outside the window at the quickly moving buildings, unconsciously gripped the phone until it started to hurt her hand.

Okay. Maybe she did understand, but it still hurt to be ignored.

She shook her head.

No, it's fine. His battery must be dead, like Yamaguchi said.

An hour later.

Y/n was getting sleepy, fighting herself to stay awake because falling asleep on a train while she was alone didn't sound like a great idea. She thought about Tsukishima. What would his reaction be like when he sees her? She'd already prepared herself to be possibly shut out, although she wished within her innermost being that it won't happen, but it still remained a possibility.

She shivered at the thought.

At the very least, she wanted to be able to apologize for acting cold to him and maybe... tell him how she feels, even if he doesn't reciprocate. All these emotions were swelling up in her chest and with each passing day it grew harder to keep it all in. If he accepted her apology, and things were still too awkward for her to stay over... well she'd figure it out. Since the last train would've already departed by the time she arrived there, she'd have to find a hotel to stay at overnight and tough it out. After all, to have Tsukishima accept her apology would already make this trip worth it. There was still about another hour until the train reached its destination. However, y/n couldn't fight the slow drooping of her eyes.
