Celebration

———

THE FINAL DAY of the book fair ended with a sense of accomplishment and joy in the air. The last of the visitors had left, and the library team, along with the volunteers, had spent the last hour packing up. With everything finally settled, the group decided to celebrate their success with dinner.

So later that evening , the library staff and volunteers gathered at a cozy local restaurant. The warm glow of the restaurant's lights created a festive atmosphere, and the chatter of happy voices filled the air. A long table was reserved for their group, adorned with colorful centerpieces and flickering candles.

Haneul arrived with Chaewon, both still buzzing from the day's events. They were greeted by their colleagues, who were already seated and enjoying appetizers. The table was laden with delicious dishes— fresh salads, savory pastas, and an assortment of bread and dips.

"Haneul, Chaewon! Over here!" called Mrs. Choi, waving them over.

As they settled into their seats, Haneul noticed Heeseung arriving at the entrance. He spotted her and made his way over, greeting everyone warmly.

"This place looks great," Heeseung said, taking a seat next to Haneul. "Perfect spot to celebrate."

"It really is," Haneul agreed. "Everyone did such an amazing job for the past three days."

As the evening progressed, they shared stories and laughs, recounting memorable moments from the fair. Mrs. Choi raised a toast to everyone, praising their hard work and dedication.

"To our wonderful team," she said, lifting her glass. "Today was a huge success because of each one of you. Cheers!"

"Cheers!" everyone echoed, clinking their glasses together.

Haneul glanced around the table, feeling a deep sense of gratitude and camaraderie. It was heartwarming to see her colleagues and friends so relaxed and happy.

"So, what was your favorite part of the fair?" Chaewon asked, leaning forward with a smile.

"I loved the children's corner," Haneul replied. "Seeing their faces light up during the storytime was priceless."

"I think the local author session was a hit," Heeseung added. "People were really engaged, and it was great to see such a turnout."

As the main courses arrived, the conversation shifted to plans for future events and new ideas for the library. They discussed everything from potential author visits to community workshops.
