AS THEY headed downstairs to open the door, Haneul's heart raced with anticipation. Chaewon and Sunoo exchanged amused glances, knowing full well who it might be.
When they reached the door, Chaewon took the lead and opened it, revealing Heeseung standing outside with a warm smile.
"Sure enough," Chaewon whispered to Haneul with a teasing grin.
"I'm not interrupting something, am I?" Heeseung asked with a laugh, glancing between the girls.
"Of course not," Sunoo chimed in with a mischievous smirk. "She's more than ready to go."
Haneul barely had time to react before Chaewon gave her a playful push towards Heeseung. "Have fun!!!" she called out, shutting the door behind Haneul before she could protest.
Flustered but amused, Haneul turned to Heeseung with a laugh. "Sorry about them," she said, still smiling.
Heeseung chuckled, clearly entertained by this scene. "It's alright. Let's go?"
Haneul nodded, feeling a warmth spread through her at Heeseung's easy acceptance of her friends' antics. "Yeah, let's go."
They walked to Heeseung's car, the gravel crunching softly beneath their feet. The evening air was filled with the faint scent of blooming flowers, adding a touch of romance to the night. As they reached the car, Heeseung moved ahead and opened the front passenger door for Haneul, a gentlemanly gesture that made her heart flutter.
"Thank you," Haneul said, sliding into the seat with a smile.
Heeseung nodded, returning her smile. "You're welcome."
He closed the door gently and walked around to the driver's side, getting in and starting the engine. As they pulled away, Haneul felt a mix of anticipation and curiosity about what Heeseung had planned for the evening. The streetlights cast a warm glow over the car's interior, creating a cozy ambiance as they drove through the quiet neighborhood.
Haneul shifted in her seat, her curiosity piqued. "Sooooo, Mr. Heeseung, what do you have planned for tonight?" she asked with a playful grin.
Heeseung glanced over at her, a mischievous sparkle in his eyes. "Well, that's a secret," he replied, keeping his voice light and mysterious. "But first, are you hungry?"
Haneul laughed softly. "Always," she admitted. "What do you have in mind?"
"You'll see," Heeseung said with a wink, turning onto a main road. "I promise you'll love it."
