Chapter 8: The what exams?

Konan woke up to the sounds of birds, sizzling bacon and a screaming blonde sat right outside his fucking window;

Konan; " NARUTO SHUT THE FUCK UP! "

He shouted, scaring the blonde down from the tree branch that was in front of his bedroom window, hearing him hit the ground before standing up and pulling a shirt on to head downstairs where he immediately got questioned by sasuke but Konan didn't answer and sat at the kitchen table before putting up three fingers and counting down before pointing to the door, on cue; Naruto burst through the door:

Naruto; " Come on idiots, Kakashi wants to tell us something important "

Konan just yawned and used an earth jutsu lazily, launching naruto off their property before going back to waiting for his breakfast which was quickly served by his brother Sasuke. After eating, the brothers headed out towards the bridge they were suppose to meet at as told by message given to them by Pakun- Konan kept yawning before they reached the others and got an earful which was completely ignored, they waited patiently for Kakashi who began speaking once it was quiet;

Kakashi; " So, I've signed you up for the chunin exams and they begin tomorrow, you can thank me later "

Konan could see his eyes turn up which meant he was smirking but both him and Naruto got confused and looked blankly at their sensei for him to explain further, which he didn't so Konan decided to just straight up ask him;

Konan; " Ummmm... What's the Chunin exams? "

Kakashi looked shocked for a second but then remembered the boy asking was in literal prison and not the academy, coughing to correct his own thoughts before beginning to speak again-

Kakashi; " So the ninja system is split into ranks; Genin, Chunin, Tokubetsu Jōnin, Jonin and Kage- to work your way up these stages you have to pass a certain criteria which in this case to rank up from Genin to Chunin you have to pass an exam held every year by a different village for all villages to participate in and graduate up a rank if they pass "

Konan nodded along and took a mental note, Naruto was ummm... himself, but Kakashi soon finished explaining and just vanished leaving his students confused as they had been randomly signed up and given no time to prepare, they decided to walk around a bit since they would be the only 4 ninja squad to participate in the exam but they headed through the town quietly discussing between them about the ninja from other villages they might run into, they soon came upon a group of two ninja they didn't recognise picking on some kids as they headed closer;

Konan; " Oi, you're in a different village so I recommend you back off before and not try hurt our village's children "

The guy wearing a cat suit got instantly agressive towards Konan who walked forward being taller and stronger visually from prison as he looked down at the boy before quickly slamming the cat dude's head into the ground by grabbing the back of his head, they heard a loud bang as he put a dent in the floor and repositioned himself;

Konan; " Sorry about that, I have a strong desire to protect kids and it pisses me off to see guys like you picking on them "

He says picking the cat guy up with a strong grasp on the guy's skull but a girl with dirty blonde hair that was with the guy pointed an open fan at him like she was going to attack but was quickly called off by a guy with red hair and a gourd that suddenly appeared on a tree nearby- Konan and the kid locked eyes, glaring as he held this cat onesie'd bully up by the head but quickly dropped him and went to check on the kids as the sand ninja retreated;

Sakura; " Dude what was that! that could've ended really badly! "

Konan; " It wouldn't have, that red haired was about to skewer me with sand but backed off after he realised he couldn't get it through the earth undernearth me since I was using my earth nature to concrete myself to the floor incase I was attacked or they tried knocking me over "
