Chapter 19: Sasuke Retrieval mission

Konan appeared in the Hokage's office in the early morning of the day after his parade as the Konoha Spirit, he landed beside her desk and waited until she walked through the door- she slid it open and was unexpectedly suprised to see him stood by her desk so calmly, her attendant Shizune came from the side and stood in front of the Hokage ready to protect her but calmed when she saw it was only Konan;

Tsunade; " I assume you have good news if you're sneaking into my office this early? "

Konan; " I have a lot to report "

Tsunade; " Good good, allow me to sit down and we can start with your report after that "

Konan walked around the other side, standing so he was facing the desk as Tsunade sat in her seat with Shizune by her side, getting comfy before you began to report everything to her;

Konan; " To begin, unrelated to the Konoha Spirit; Sasuke Uchiha plans to leave the village and join Orochimaru later today- I recommend ordering everyone to not follow him and I myself will not be going after him either "

Tsunade; " That is troubling news, any reason you won't go after him? "

Konan; " He wants to get stronger and avenge his clan, I am uchiha blood but was not there during the massacre, I have no right to try stop him and as his now only older brother as much as I wish to protect him- I must let him do as he wishes, it's his life to live and lose "

Tsunade; " Right, I will order no one to go after him- but I cannot help it if they end up going anyway "

Konan; " That's fine, only the Genin will go "

Tsunade; " Now about the Konoha Spirit? "

Konan; " Right, he made an official appearance as of last night, I used my expertice in Genjutsu to appear and disappear at will- I had music playing and danced in the street to have the civillians see him as a playful spirit before apprehending some thugs when they appeared as expected- Danzo's popularity should be plummeting as I announced him as my enemy to the crowd who seemed to be now wary of Danzo and I plan to assassinate him soon "

Tsunade; " That is good news, it's my turn now- as of the end of the Chunin Exams; only two participants were deemed worthy of graduating after it was called off- both for showing off their expertise and stratergy knowledge on the battlefield. These two are Konan Sarutobi and Shikamaru Nara. "

Konan looked shocked, bowing with proud as he accepted the rank up willingly before leaving the Hokage's office to the guard's suprise as they never saw him enter- he walked down the street from the office and hummed as the early morning sun had began rising into the sky even higher than when he awoke- Konan waited by the village gates, leaning against them after they had opened, the guards looked confused at his presence but left him alone.

Sasuke and the infiltrating sound ninja walked from the Uchiha compound, they intended to leave early and not be seen but the sound ninja became instantly on guard seeing Konan there, he wasn't armed though (he had his gloves but they didn't know they were weapons), Sasuke walked closer as the two approached eachother and the Sound ninja prepared to fight. The two hugged as Konan ruffled Sasuke's hair-

Konan; " Be safe out there, don't be too evil and don't kill anyone innocent "

Sasuke; " Yeah I wouldn't anyway, no way am I coming back a disappointment to you big bro "

Konan; " Good, make sure you get stronger cause we're gonna fight if I see you again, gotta test you "

Sasuke nodded and fist bumped him, walking past as Konan used a genjutsu to put the guards to sleep allowing them to leave easier.
