DEMON KING'S CASTLE - NIGHT

The interior of The Demon King's castle loads back in. Samara and Lady Fairlight stand above their newly acquired loot.

The spoils of their adventure are spiral-shaped gems that are pearl-like in both texture and color.

SAMARA: "All that for only 3 Celestial Turds?!"

The newly rescued Villagers swarm Samara. Their bosoms squish Sam on all sides.

VILLAGER #1: "You are so cool, Sam!"

VILLAGER #2: "You're a real hero, Sam!"

VILLAGER #3: "Please touch our boobs!"

Samara doesn't seem too impressed by the offer.

SAMARA: "I'll think about it."

The tallest, most fanservicey-designed one approaches Sam. She is the HIGH PRIESTESS of their village. The High Priestess shares the same annoyingly persistent enthusiasm as the others.

HIGH PRIESTESS: "Well done! Now use your mana to teleport us out of this treacherous castle and back into our homes in Fernmere!"

VILLAGER #1: "Yes! Use your magic, Samara!"

VILLAGER #2: "It would be impossible for us to reach the outside world without the use of mana, Samara!"

VILLAGER #1: "Our survival depends entirely on you, Sam!"

Samara stares blankly at the villagers. Sam glances at the shattered Master Catalyst behind her. She turns her head to Lady Fairlight.

Lady Fairlight shoots back a 'not angry, just disappointed' frown.

The room begins to fill with an awkward tension.

SAMARA: "Uh, hold up. I gotta hit someone up."

Sam trots out of the earshot of the others. She pulls out her phone and starts typing furiously.

"Hey, Kanzaki, can you come to my server and help me finish this quest?"

She clicks send. Not much later, a message comes back to her.

"can't, streaming rn"

Samara frowns. She opens a new tab on her phone's browser. It is playing some sort of live stream.

FANCY CONVEYER BELT SUSHI RESTAURANT - EVENING

In the live stream, KANZAKI (a generic light novel protagonist lookalike in his mid-20s) holds up his phone while showing his viewers the myriad of plates making their rounds through the establishment.

KANZAKI: "This is a paradoxical place. A 'luxe' conveyor belt sushi place where the cheapest plate is $50!! Highest donation decides what I will eat first!"

The donations begin to pour in from his viewers. A text-to-speech bot reads out the comments.

TEXT-TO-SPEECH BOT: "Anonymous User 52 gives $5 towards 'wagyu fund.' Anonymous User 371 gives $10 for 'whale steak.' Anonymous User 32 gives $100 towards a 'big bag of dicks.''
