WOODLAND APPROACH TO DEMON KING'S CASTLE - DAY
Samara and Remy's in-game avatars step into the woods. It looks innocuous enough to host games of make-believe among a small child and several anthropomorphic critters.

Remy remains tense.

SAMARA: "Relax! We're supposed to be having fun! You can let your guard down-"

WHOOSH!

A BANDIT jumps out of the thicket!

SHINK!

The Bandit stabs Sam in the stomach.

SAMARA: "OOOF! NEVER MIND! GUARD UP! KEEP YOUR GUARD UP!"

The human blasts her assailant with a cloud of buckshot. Many more BANDITS appear from the thicket. It's an ambush!

Remy fumbles with her 'weapon.'

REMY: "H...how do I fire this thing in the game?!"

Samara racks her shotgun to load a new shell.

SAMARA: "Just tap on the enemies!"

Remy shoots a handful of plastic pellets into a Bandit's face. It probably would have been more effective if she had thrown them instead.

BANDIT #1: "Hey! Ow!"

BANDIT #2 (wearing a helmet): "I told you to wear eye protection, Taylor. This is what happens when you don't listen."

SAMARA: "Oh man, I forgot this area is too high level for your character. Time to summon!"

Samara pulls out her enchanted in-game cellphone. She then presses one of the contacts on her speed dial menu.

A portal of light appears on the grass in front of them.

LADY FAIRLIGHT: "Those that threaten Samara will meet their end by the edge of Farah Fairlight's blade!"

The Lady Knight dispatches the Bandit horde with a few swings of her longsword. Lady Fairlight sheathes her blade.

SAMARA'S BEDROOM - DAY
Remy places Sam's IRL phone down and covers her forehead.

REMY: "Can we stop Sam? I'm not feeling too well."

SAMARA: "Why? What's going on?"

Sam glances at the phone she lent Remy. The action on the screen is moving at the speed of a very aggressive PowerPoint presentation.

SAMARA: "Oof. I guess my phone can't run the game as well as I thought... If you're feeling motion sickness from playing a game, just take a break and stare straight ahead until your stomach settles."

REMY: "I don't need to see any more to get a sense of this game. I think I got the jist of it."

SAMARA: "Oh no, we're not trying to market this game. We're marketing a game that is set in the same universe as this one!"

REMY: "So, shouldn't I be playing that game then?"

Samara thinks for a moment.
