Ok, can we talk about the hypocrisy of Alicent and Criston Cole? Criston hated Rhaenyra because she made him break his vows and according to him treated him like a whore, but is ok for him to break his vows with Alicent, and what does she treat him as? Then Alicent, who is supposedly so pious and so religious, but is perfectly fine to fuck around with a kings guard who took vows for life. 🙄. Ok, rant over.
The first image was of her father, but he looked nothing like he did now. He looked like a walking corpse, the smell of death clung to him. She could also feel the danger that surrounded her, knowing that as soon as her father was gonethe vultures would descend. Then the image changed and she saw herself on the birthing bed, her thighs were coveredin blood and she could hear herself screaming. The babe was dead and partially deformed, she could tell it had been born before her time. Then the image changed to a dark haired boy, he was being chased by a silver-haired boy. Both were on dragons and she could tell something had gone terribly wrong even before the largedragon she could tell was Vhagar, tore the dark haired boy and the smaller dragon apart. Things became even worse from there, she lost child after child, before Syrax and almost every other dragon were killed.
Tears ran down her face as she saw Daemon fighting on dragon back, he was fighting the same man who had killed the dark haired boy. When Daemon was killed it felt like her heart had been ripped out of her chest. She wanted to scream at the injustice, she wanted to turn everything back to the way it was. She had lost so many things already, sheshould not have to lose anything else. Before she could continue to grieve the image changed and she was on a ship with a small silver haired boy. She could feel relief when Dragonstone came into view, but a part of her felt a sense of foreboding like something was not right. She saw herself being betrayed by one of her own Kingsguard and then she saw the silver haired man. He was terribly disfigured, his body was covered with burn scars.
There was hate in the man's eyes and she could also feel her hatred for him. The little boy who had been with her was being held by a knight as he cried. There was a ringing in her ears before a golden dragon opened his mouth and she was engulfed in flames.
Rhaenyra woke up with a silent scream, her mouth was wide open, but no sound was coming out. She could still feel her skin blistering and melting off her body, she could still feel the pain. Her face was wet with tears and she was shaking uncontrollably, trying to come to terms with everything she had seen. While she knew it had been a dream, she also knew that it was not a normal dream. There was something very foreboding about it, whatever it was told her she should pay attention to it. It took her several minutes to get her breathing under control. Once she was sure her body was under control she stood up and moved towards the water jug. She drank two cups until finally, her body stopped shaking.
She was trying to think of ways to get herself to sleep again when she heard a noise coming from outside her chambers. She frowned, knowing that her Kingsguard would have stopped any danger from reaching her. She opened the door and was surprised to see Aegon standing a few feet from the door. The little boy was sucking his thumbs and had tears running down his face.
"Aegon?" She nodded at the two knights before moving closer to her little brother. She had not spoken much to the little boy , she had resented her father and stepmother so much that she had taken it out on her brother. "What is the matter?"
He tried to dry his tears. "I had a bad dream."
"Oh, I am sorry about that." She kneeled in front of him. "Why are you out here?"
