4 days later.

Mansy was surprised at how easily she had been able to make her way into the Red Keep, she would have thought that the place where the royal family lived would have more soldiers. They had not been paying attention to her, maybe because she was small and a girl, but she had been able to sneak past the guards without much of an issue. The only problem was that now she was a bit lost, she had never been in a place so big. The halls were clean and she had seen drawings and tapestries on some of the walls.

"Who are you?" The voice snapped her out of her thoughts and made her turn, her eyes widening when she saw the boy dressed in black and silver finery. She had seen him from afar a few times before, he had visited the shelter with Princess Rhaenyra. He narrowed his eyes when she did not answer. "Did you not hear me? Who are you and what are you doing here?"

"My prince," She bowed quickly, not wanting to cause disrespect. She gave him a nervous look, hoping he would not call for the guards. "I am here to speak to Princess Rhaenyra."

The prince moved closer to her, she could tell by the look on his face that he did not trust her. "You still have not told me who you are. I am not taking some stranger to see my mother, especially when she is heavy with child."

"My name is Mansy. I know the princess from the shelter, my mother and I live there." She was hoping that the prince would believe her and take her to see his mother. She could tell the boy was very protective of her and would not allow anyone who he saw as a threat to approach her. "I have some news for the princess, it is important."

The Prince simply crossed his arms over his chest. "What is this news?"

Mansy scrunched her nose and now she was mostly annoyed. "I am not telling you."

The boy's eyes widened, almost like he had not expected that answer. "Why not?"

"Because my news is for the princess's ears only." What were the chances that he would send her to the black cells? Even while he was a boy, around her age, he was also a prince, which meant he had the power to make her life very difficult."Please, I swear to you I only want to help the princess. My mother and I owed her a lot and I just want to make sure she is aware of some things that are being said about her and her husband."

The prince gave her a suspicious look and she was sure he would not allow her to see the princess. After a few moments, he simply nodded and gestured to her. "Follow me, but I will let you know that I am armed, if you make one move against my mother I will not hesitate to kill you."

She had not missed the large dagger strapped to his side and for some reason, she believed he would carry out his threat."I will never do anything to harm the princess, you do not have to threaten me."

"It was not a threat, it was a promise."

She swallowed but nodded her head, knowing that if she did not do something he would not allow her to speak to the princess. He gestured for her to follow him as they made their way to what Mansy was sure were the princess's chambers. There were two guards standing outside the doors and while they gave her a questioning look, they bowed to the prince before opening the doors. Mansy's jaw dropped when the doors opened and her eyes winded. She had never seen so many riches in one place, they were rich silks and tapestries. The tables and chairs looked very well made and expensive. There was a tray sitting on top of the table with several different kinds of fruits and a second tray with something that Mansy believed was some kind of pastry. There were also several different toys all over the floor.
